Ha! It just occurred to me now that we are almost a week in, that a shiny new month is upon us. I didn’t even wish October a fond farewell or welcome in November. So allow me to remedy that now…Adieu, October, I am not even going to lie, I am glad to see you go. And Hello, November, may you be a kinder, gentler month for those I love.
This is a quick post to share a Pin-spired outfit as part of the Get-Pinspired linkup created by three amazing bloggers I follow – Mel at The Larson Lingo, Sheaffer at Pinterest Told Me To and Shay at Mix and Match Family.
I have been going through withdrawal since the Style Me Fall Challenge ended. You know that feeling when you finish a great book and you don’t want it to end. You feel the characters have become family or friends. The end of the book feels like a loss or a death in the family.
That’s kind of how I feel at the end of each challenge. Kind of sad. Kind of lost. So I was super excited when I discovered the Pin-spired linkup. So excited that I couldn’t decide which Pinterest pinned outfit from my Fashionista board I would want to try to emulate.
After poring over all of the fabulous outfits I have pinned, I finally settle on a simple little number featuring my burgundy-wine-red denim skinnies from the Loft Outlet that I have not yet worn. I have watched my bff Sharon fashion her lovely wine-colored cords, and my sister-in-law Metra style her cute red pants, and my blogger buddy Shaunacey from Confessions of a Frumpy Mommy put together outfits around her fabulous red and wine slacks! I decided it was time I slip into mine.
Here’s the pinned outfit I was copy-catting yesterday.
And here is my version. Loft Outlet wine denim skinnies, JCPenney chambray shirt, Walmart scarf, old belt from long ago, flat riding boots from Belk.com. Skinny mirror to help my legs look longer and shapelier from Kirklands.
I think the gals do this Pin-spired post the first of each month so I hope that I can linkup with them again next month for another copy-cat creation. Be sure to check out the Pin-spired outfits of all the gals joining in on the fun. And if you are interested in posting your own Pin-spired outfit, stop by and linkup through Shay, Sheaffer or Mel.
Remember to stop by tomorrow for the first post in the Style Me Bloggers linkup series.
See you then!
