Happy Monday, girlsies, it’s time for my update 02.21.2022 on my mini winter bucket list. I usually reveal my bucket lists on the first day of the new season. That would have been 12.21.2021 for this winter bucket list. But that was the day after Declan was born and we weren’t thinking beyond getting baby boy and his mommy, my daughter Brennyn, healthy and home from the hospital.
So, I didn’t even get my list put together until a few weeks ago. Decided to take the pressure off and make this a mini bucket list since we only have about 6 weeks of winter left. Want to get back to sharing on the 21st of each month so here I am. Not sure there is a bit of progress to report. Let’s see.
Update 02.21.2022
Just as I do with my wellness goals, I like to divide my bucket lists into categories. That way I attempt to try different types of things in various aspects of my life. I always strive to have a green checkmark indicating accomplished beside each item on my bucket lists. But that doesn’t always happen.
- green check mark means the activity has been accomplished ✅
- hour glass indicates the activity is in progress ⏳
- red X means the activity wasn’t completed ❌
SUSIE HOMEMAKER
- Clean house from top to bottom to include purging closet: This is carried over from autumn goals; time to part with some clothes. Want to try to sell some more items on Poshmark. Have added some things to my Poshmark closet. Need to get back into my closet this week. Brennyn is coming the second week of March and would like to get the house really cleaned up before she arrives. ⏳
A FAMILY AFFAIR
- Take a picture with all the girls: good grief, how many times has this been on my bucket lists? Brennyn, Cady and Declan are coming for a visit early in March…before winter officially ends and spring begins. Would like to find someone who could take a photo of my daughters, grandchildren and me. Probably need to try to find a photographer in the next week or so. Wish the poppies would be out for a backdrop, look how beautiful they were in March of last year.⏳
CRAFTY LIKE A FOX
- Scrapbook our South Padre vacation: want to do this with my sister Valerie: We are scrapping the same pictures but doing our own layouts and page designs, then sharing with each other. This project is underway. We have scrapped 2 pages together. This is one I worked on today. ⏳
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
- Treat myself to a manicure: Think I will treat myself to a manicure before I embark on the house cleaning. Maybe this week before Valentine’s Day? Nope didn’t happen for Valentine’s Day. Maybe once I get the house clean?? ⏳
WRITING ON THE WALL
- Complete #Write28Days: On my way. Would love to mark this a done deal but have one more week of writing to do!! But well, well on my way!! Exciting. ✅
WHAT ELSE?
Although I didn’t add any philanthropic endeavors, there are some things I am planning on doing. Our church is having a diaper drive. Hope to take diapers to church next week. My book club will be selecting its March read. Will be giving away copies of the winning title to members of the club.
Also didn’t include a date night activity. But we have had some very nice dates in the last couple of weeks. A Broadway musical, dinner at a new restaurant. Will share more about those soon.
YOUR TURN
That’s a wrap for my winter bucket list update 02.21.2022. Did you create a winter bucket list? Won’t you share what you’ve been up to this season?
Counting this post as today’s writing for #Write28Days with Anita Ojeda. Hope to begin tackling the housecleaning this week. Need to put up my Valentine’s decor but thinking it is a bit premature to put out spring. Subbing on Thursday then PC has a 3-day weekend. What are you up to this week?
Thank you for visiting today. Hope to get some blog reading done tomorrow. Will see you then!!
Hugs and kisses,

You’ve been so prolific with your blogging lately Leslie! I don’t do bucket lists – I’m challenging myself to live day to day and not look too far forward or backward – it keeps my stress levels low and my happiness levels high. That being said, I do like you titles for each of your bucket items – very creative and they made me smile (Beauty and the Beast was a classic).

None of these things got a big red cross by them so that’s a great result and you still have time to get those egg timers changed to a green tick box!
I really hope you get that photo taken in March – I’m sure you’ll find a great back drop even if the poppies aren’t in bloom.

I did create a bucket list this winter and so far I seem to be doing pretty well with it… but I should probably check it again as I am sure there are things I am forgetting about entirely! You are doing so well with yours.

I like how you label each section so creatively!

I consider anything started a major step in the right direction. Congratulations on all that you have achieved on this list.

You’re doing a great job with your bucket list! I just started listing things on Poshmark and just followed you. I haven’t scrapbooked in years! Love the page you made!

Hi Leslie!
You are getting there accomplishing those goals! Congratulations again on baby Declan 🙂 It is an ongoing process with the closet isnt it? I tend to go through mine and I have a bunch listed on Poshmark too. Sounds wonderful going to a Broadway musical and dinner, one of hubby and my favorite things to do. We are going to see The Waitress in April, so something to look forward to!
Enjoy your Sunday!
