Happy Kick Off to September
- Yay for a shiny new month…3 weeks til fall!! Over the mountain early this morning to help with my babies, so glad to see them but worried about my Lucia who is not eating much at all, and nothing before school each morning; stopped at Walmart for a few things, Valley Market for treats for Matt’s visit, picked up books at the library, cleaned the kitchen and den, planted a black eyed Susan that reminds me of the nickname my dad had for me – his blue eyed Susan; made spaghetti for dinner, watched the Reds game before bed. 09.01.2021
- Back over to help with the babies again today, Cia ate some fruit snacks in the car on the way to school, just a few but something; Cami snuggled me, ran to Target for kitty food, saw Ernie the goat on the way home, reclining on a rock beside a little dribble of water coming down the mountain side – he always makes me smile; more spring cleaning, put the kitchen chairs out on the pool deck and scrubbed the upholstery on them, then fastened a pillow case around the chair Simmony prefers to recline on to try to keep the fur off the cushion; Lauren took Cia to the doctor and they are doing blood work for her tummy troubles. 09.02.2021
- The spring-summer cleaning is officially finished; fall 2021 capsule wardrobe registration is open, click here to register with my affiliate link; I enjoy checking Alison’s trending pieces and outfit formulas, ordered this lilac cardigan and this houndstooth vest from Target and ‘graham cracker’ colored denim and ‘spice girl’ pants from Old Navy, did a quick touch up on the house, baked cookies, worked on my scrapbook page, made a pot of crack chicken noodle soup, picked Matt up at the airport at 7:30, he ate some soup and we watched some TV before calling it a day. 09.03.2021

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a beautiful first full week of October.

I can’t believer you managed to fall asleep in the MRI machine! Those things are loud so that is pretty impressive. Happy belated anniversary!

I’m sorry you’re having challenges with your mom again. That must be so hard. I hope your neck pain is all sorted out. And I was sad that that Jays didn’t make the playoffs either 🙁
Deb
Oh you must be so worried about your mum, and it must seem so hard to be far away. There seem to be so many demands on your time, make sure you take time out for yourself. I hope that they are able to give you some relief from your back pain without surgery. Doesn’t it seem that bad things come in a run? Let’s hope that bad period is on its way out now and good things are on their way x
Jo
A multi-textured month for sure with plenty to love and boxes to tick, but also challenges. My heart hurts when I read about your poor mum. It must be so hard for you worrying about that.
Gail Hanlon
Lots of exercise and you’re looking very good! Always love hearing about your varied months. The dollar and note in library books is a lovely idea. Unfortunately our lowest denomination note is five, equivalent to 6.81 dollars, so I don’t think it’ll catch on here!
Christie Hawkes
It’s great to catch up with you Leslie. You’ve had a busy month! I hope your neck is feeling better. No fun. I can also relate to your experiences with your mother. It is so difficult. As you know, my mother passed away (almost two years ago now), and Larry’s mom is 94 and living in a memory care center. Thankfully, it is a lovely place close to our house, but still sad to watch the life drain out of her slowly. On a more cheerful note, I loved watching your video. What a fun way to condense everything down to 30 seconds. Happy October!
Amy Johnson
So sorry to hear about your mom. You seemed to have had a really busy month, which I think is normal for you. Love the Jumper. My memorable moment in September was probably a tie between meeting my newest grandson and our fall vacation out west.
Karen
Happy Anniversary! Your Yay days sound so fun. I’ve been having some odd dreams here recently too, wonder if its from the shows I’ve been watching on tv, humm. Your neck sounds very uncomfortable & painful, hope you get a remedy that’s long lasting. Karen
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Just home from physical therapy for my neck and back. It has helped but sure isn’t much fun when I am there going through treatment.
