Good morning, good afternoon and good evening, fashionistas and clothes-wearing friends. It is the third Thursday of the month which means it is time for Ageless Style 07.2023. Joanne chose the theme for this month, one-n-done. Lovin’ these open-ended prompts lately!
The third Thursday is a busy day on the blog as I also have the Tell Us About link up for which I am co-host. This month’s post is about travel. But I am not traveling this summer. And reading about all the traveling the other ladies are doing is bound to make us tired. So, stop by my post for a power nap. Just click here.
Ageless Style 07.2023
Last month I commented that it was surely going to snow because I was able to get my blog to cooperate allowing me to link up with the Ageless Style gals for 2 months in a row. Well, it didn’t snow. In fact, quite the opposite. We have had 33 consecutive days of triple digit heat. As I type this it is 104*F/40*C at 8:00 pm. I do feel like maybe I am finding my way with this blogging (right now). Had the presence of mind to take the photos for today’s post waaaaaaay back in June. Who am I??

One-n-Done
When Joanne shared the prompt for this month in our Ageless Style IG thread, I knew immediately what I wanted to wear. The sage green Loft – I can’t think of the word – oh, yeah, JUMPSUIT. Kept thinking ‘onesie’ but that’s what Declan wears. Geez!! Jumpsuits are easy, singular pieces that can be dressed up or down with accessories.
Jumping into My Jumpsuit
This Loft jumpsuit is so comfy. The fabric is lightweight and super soft. It was a gift from my precious BFF Sharon. And guess what? It doesn’t have to be ironed. Girl after my own heart. I should be wearing this every day!!
A few years ago, I was a little reticent to wear jumpsuits because of my kidney/bladder issues. My Stage II CKD often has me running to the bathroom with little time to fiddle with getting my clothing off. Things like belts, button flies, and one-piece jumpsuits are more time-consuming to remove and could lead to me needing a mop!!
But for now, that inconvenience seems to have remedied itself. Bring on the belts, the button flies and my jumpsuit.
I paired my jumpsuit with an old favorite Mudd chiffon kimono that I bought once upon a time at Kohl’s. In trying to find it online to share with you, I discovered Kohl’s no longer carries this brand. And a search of Mudd kimonos referred me to Poshmark, Mercari and eBay. Maybe Mudd is no longer. The colors of this kimono are among my very favorites…peach, green, with a touch of lilac and baby blue.
Gosh, I look tired. This was about 2 weeks after PC’s surgery. We were not either one sleeping. Can ya tell?
Threw on my Old Navy metallic gold slides. They are as easy to wear as the jumpsuit. Added an emerald and gold necklace PC bought for me on our first Christmas together. We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary but dated for 5 years while we gathered our nerve to walk down the aisle. My sister gave me the cute little floral gold earrings. I should have set them on against the jumpsuit fabric so they would show up better in the flat lay picture.
Shapermint, Anyone?
I wish I had had my new Shapermint boy shorts to wear under this jumpsuit when I took these pictures. You can see the grandmotherly lumps and bumps that shapewear might have minimized. Always wear a slip with my dresses but have seen a number of my blogging buddies wearing bike shorts under dresses this summer. I purchased 2 pair of these Shapermint Essentials Shaping Boyshorts in nude to try out with dresses, pants and hey, JUMPSUITS, too!!
Apparently, I could use some Shapermint for my arms, too. But I am working on that with my rowing machine, weights and swimming. And have decided it is just too darn hot to wear sleeves!!
In the picture below, I am making a rather constipated-looking face because I am trying so hard to hold in my stomach. If only I had had my boyshorts!! I might have been able to muster up a smile.
On Location
For last month’s Ageless Style post, I asked PC to snap a few photos of me at the Border Patrol Museum in my Kelly McGillis “Top Gun” get-up. This month I asked him to take some pictures at the Natural History Museum right next door. The mural had just been finished and I wanted to show it off. You might need a magnifying glass to see me but the mural and the Border Patrol sculpture are the real focal points.
I love El Paso. Even in the heat. And our majestic Franklin Mountains can’t be beat. And that rhymes!!
Your Turn
All of the Ageless Style challenges are fun. This one was really easy, too. I can’t wait to see what my blogging buddies have put together. Let’s go find out!!

Thank you for spending a little of your day here with me. I am off to walk Pumpkin now that it is only 100*F and 9:15 pm. Worry about her little paws on the concrete so we walk super fast down to the park and then walk in the grass.
Hugs and kisses,
Girl, I don’t see those lumps and bumps that you are obsessing about. Even if they are there, I call them womanly curves which are a GOOD thing.
As for the naked arms, here I am giving you a standing ovation. It’s taken me years to embrace the changing skin that I’m seeing on myself, so I love to get other women to embrace it too.
What a wonderful jumpsuit and I love how they have become more mainstream.
XOXO

BFF! You don’t need shapermint! You look fabulous! You are much too hard on yourself ! It is too hot to add anything else on so throw out the shapewear and the slips! I had no idea they even made slips anymore! 😜XO
Hahahaha!! I am wearing my Shapermint every Sunday to church and sometimes with my jeans through the week!! It is certainly too hot but I cannot stand seeing rolls and this tummy has gotten out of hand over here. I have a slip of every length. Some of them I’ve had since college!!
What a cute look and those gold slide on sandals are something I would wear ALL the time. The jumpsuit is so cute with that sheer kimonos (perfect is those arms get cold). And you look GREAT, you must be doing some running or weights or something good, because you are rocking that look!!

That outfit looks so comfortable – and I think you should stop imagining lumps and bumps where there aren’t any! You look great!
What a fabulous jumpsuit! You look great in it!
That is cute on you. I’ve never worn a jumpsuit and I’m not sure my body is right for one!
I really love this jumpsuit on you! That is a great color and style. I sometimes suck in my stomach in an obvious way in my ootd pics and have to have the boys retake my picture. I am trying to work up the oomph to text my neighbor and friend to do some arm exercises before dinner. Haven’t been in a workout mood at all this week. So glad you have been posting: I love reading your posts and you always make me smile.

You are so sweet. Thank you for making me feel good about blogging. I am certainly not a fancy blogger. Pretty much what you see is what you get!! I saved some great arm workouts that can be done anywhere but I have only done them once. Ridiculous. I need to do them and some crunches and get over my lazy self.
I loved this post! The ‘sucking in your stomach’ picture made me laugh! I’ve been there before, a lot! Why is it so hard to look natural when you’re sucking it in?! 🙂 Loved this outfit, it looks beautiful on you!
You are always so kind. Thank you for making me feel good. I am full as a tick right now. We had Olive Garden for lunch. I ate like it was the last supper. XO
What a fabulous jumpsuit! I love that you can dress it up or down. Love the kimono you paired with it!

I would wear this outfit over and over! That jumpsuit is so cute on you! Love your pretty kimono!
