Fashionista friends, pulling off the yoga pants just long enough to share a handful of Covid-19 quarantine looks. I’ve shared several times that I don’t see a whole lot of point in getting dressed in much more than active wear these long days at home. The kitties haven’t complained yet and at least we are being active in our active wear. Running, walking and enjoying some great workout videos from Hasfit. In case you missed, here’s my wellness weekend post that talks more about that.
But today, at least for now, we are talking about some of the pieces I picked up for the Get Your Pretty On spring capsule wardrobe. Felt good to be wearing something without that spandex-y stretch to it. Definitely a reality check. Not gonna lie. Things were a little snug. PC says we are getting back on Weight Watchers pronto. I think I better be.

Quarantine Looks from the Spring Capsule Wardrobe
We are currently styling Day 24 of the Get Your Pretty On spring capsule wardrobe. I haven’t tried every outfit formula because none of them feature yoga pants and tees and sports bras. Ha! But I did play dress up a couple of times lately. Here are a few of the quarantine looks I wore just to stay at home.
Gray Sweatshirt and Pink Pants
The outfit below was my version of Day 18, colorful bottom + gray top + denim jacket + white tennies or neutral shoes. Because I went with a simple gray sweatshirt, I didn’t add the denim jacket. But I could switch it out for a gray tee and wear the jacket on our chilly spring evenings.
I saved these Loft Outlet pink pants from the big purge in February. They are loose – not as loose as they were pre-quarantine. When I saw this color on the spring capsule wardrobe shopping list, I saved them from the big consignment store in the sky. Paired them with my gray sweatshirt, pink freshwater pearls, and snakeskin flats.
Floral Sweatshirt and Same Pink Pants
In the next outfit I subbed in a Loft puffy sleeve floral sweat shirt for the gray one above. Really like my new birthday fitness tracker with these pants!!
You can’t see it in the photo, but added a pink beads with a green tassel to dress this up a notch. Love the colors in this top.
Below, same outfit but traded olive loafers for the snakeskin flats. Which shoe do you prefer? This taupe-peach-brownish snakeskin print is a little different than the standard black and gray snakeskin. Maybe my shoes are faux copperhead snakeskin??
Navy Tee Shirt Dress
The dress below was a pleasant surprise. Loft Outlet sandwashed tee shirt dress. It has an elasticized waist and POCKETS! So comfortable. I can see myself wearing this to PC’s ball games with my baseball bling (still looking for this darling baseball bra), once the quarantine is lifted. Maybe with a cute baseball-themed scarf?
In the photo below, I changed things up a little to follow the Day 7 outfit formula of neutral cardi + solid dress + neutral shoes. My scarf has a nautical print. Just remembered I have some darling navy and white anchor earrings I should try with this scarf. Yellow and blue are a winning color combo in my book, and then I added my white booties to ‘fancy’ things up.
Floral Twist Tee and Green Pants
This next top was a birthday surprise from my sissy. The colors are my very favorites…greens and coral-y/peach. I like the longer length of the tee. The twist makes it a little more special than my other print tees. Paired it with Old Navy Rockstar colored denim. Love that shade of green. It’s not exactly bright green and not olive, either. A happy mix of the two. Added my pink Merona flats but not sure they work with the colors in the top. What do you think?
The green in these pants looks nice with the drapes in our guest bedroom!! Didn’t notice that til now. If I could sew, I would channel my inner Scarlet O’Hara and make a top or kimono from them.
Utility Jacket, Lemon Tee and Skirt
This look is an interpretation of Day 24’s denim jacket + white tee + colorful bottoms + neutral shoes. And at this point, we’ve come to the outfit that was tighter than I like. Old faithful Dressbarn utility jacket instead of the denim jacket. I paired it with a new Loft Outlet yellow Dobby button shift skirt and a lemon print white tee.
The skirt is the piece that’s a little snug. Need to get back at those sit-ups. Actually started today. And tracking Weight Watchers points, again, too. I like the olive loafers with this outfit.
Here’s a close up of the tee. It has cute little tie details on the sleeves. Added some yellow chandelier earrings. Just want the skirt to fit more comfortably. Hopefully by the time I can wear it somewhere beside my backyard, it will!!
I needed a haircut in March before I went to mom’s but decided to hold off until I got home. Big mistake. At this rate I could be a gray-haired lady Godiva before the salons in El Paso open back up. The gray isn’t as much the problem as the length!!
Your Turn
When you aren’t in pjs or yoga pants, what are you wearing these days? What are your favorite quarantine looks? I know all the experts say we need to be dressing for our day. And I am certainly not in favor of running around naked but this has been a great opportunity to catch-up and stay caught up on my ironing!!
Off to eat some pie. Yeah, I know, my yellow skirt is tight. And we just began Weight Watchers today. But consider it research for an upcoming recipe swap blog hop.
Hugs and kisses,
eva @ CostumeTakeOut

Hello, new friend!! Thank you for finding me and leaving a comment. I am off to your corner
of the blog world now.
I have branched out to shorts this week with temps close to 100*. Looks like we skipped
spring and jumped into summer.
Patricia Doyle
Your wardrobe inspires me… but lately, I just feel a sense of accomplishment if I’m not in yoga pants all day! Today it’s green denim, pink pullover, and sneakers. I’m hoping that by putting on those shoes, I’ll take a walk this afternoon, when it warms up. Spring is warming very slowly here… it was only 31 at 8 AM.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, my, I hear so many gals saying spring is very slow to arrive. We jumped right into summer. Over 90* all
week. And supposed to break 100* and set records this weekend.
Retirement Reflections
I love these looks. Especially the last shot. Very pretty.
Enjoy the pie. Research is important! 😀
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, girl, I researched the heck out of that coconut pie. Made the mistake of
figuring out the WW points. OH VEY. But it is gone now and I am back on track.
Thank you!!
Joanne
Those are all super cute looks! I love that gray shirt with the pink pants. Mostly I’m still wearing turtlenecks with sweaters, jeans, boots, and even scarves as it has been pretty chilly.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hope things have warmed up for you guys in the last week. I remember some of your photos from recent walks looking pretty cool and damp. Time to break out the short sleeves and florals!!
Em
Oh, you look so fashionable and spring-y! I am reading the capsule outfits every day but have lacked the motivation to care. The weather has been bleak and cold…hoping that when the cold lifts we will feel a little more upbeat.
Great time for you to grow out your hair color! I have a couple of color kits, but am not in a hurry. The length of my hair however…yikes!!! It does look really nice on you! AND…I love your floral sweatshirt!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, friend! I really like the floral sweatshirt, too. So glad I bought it. Hope to heavens the cold is lifting and you are beginning to feel and see signs of spring. We are jumping right into summer with triple digits forecast for the weekend.
Joanne Long
I like all of your looks! As a matter of fact, I have both colours (pink and green) jeans. I’ve also got a very snug beige denim jean skirt. My utility jacket is burgundy and I’ve got a peachy floral jean jacket. We’ve got rain today so this wardrobe would be a bit premature but you’ve inspired me to visit my scarf and jewelry collections. Congratulations on getting back on WW.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, I know I would love the peachy floral jean jacket. How precious that must be.
Nancy
Yeah yeah yeah, excuses! Ha ha, enjoy the pie. I gained some weight too in these last few weeks. I do love your dress and the yellow skirt outfit, fabulous tee!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Ha! We enjoyed that pie, too much!!
Erica/Erika
You are a ray of Spring sunshine, Leslie. Very funny on the “reality check.” I am with you on this one. I never thought about the colour, soft pink pants and how they would look nice with other colours. I usually fall into the black and navy blue category. Your hair looks beautiful, Leslie! For me, yoga pants, tshirts and then sports bras on special occasions, like Zoom meet ups. Take care. Nice to see a happy post.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aww, Erica, you made my day! My hair is just driving me crazy(ier). It is so long and and flat. Cannot wait to get it trimmed up. But
I am actually embracing the gray. Thank you so much.
Kellyann Rohr
Love seeing what you’re wearing and the white booties were a great choice – you have some great legs lady! I am also loving the floral sweatshirt – so pretty!
xo,
Kellyann
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweet one! My legs are fading but with panty hose, I think I can still pull off above the knee looks. And maybe even with just
a tan.
Ruth Josey
I love these looks! I’m especially in love with that LOFT floral sweatshirt and I think I like the copperhead shoes (LOL!) with that one best. And that t-shirt dress from LOFT is great – I just ordered a couple of things from LOFT and I wish I’d spent a little more time looking on their site. I could use one of those dresses. I’d never have thought about wearing the olive jacket with the bright yellow skirt but they’re a perfect combination and the olive loafers work great with the look. You could always skip the sewing with the guest room drapes and just do what Carol Burnett did in her “Went With The Wind” skit 😛 And I love that baseball bra! I’ll keep an eye open for one for you.

Thank you!! I loved the LOFT sweatshirt at first sight. And those ‘copperhead’ shoes are so comfy. Thank you!!
Ha! Laughed out loud at the Carol Burnett reference. Yes, she took those drapes right off the hooks and wore
the curtain rod and all. So funny!!
Juhli
Lovely outfits and hoping the pie was delicious!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, friend. The pie was too good. Need not make it again for awhile. Terrible calorie count!
Dara
Thank you for the inspiration! I have pink pants but the zipper won’t stay up! Maybe I will wear them anyway.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Break out those pink pants, girl! Isn’t there a way to lock the zipper? Google that!!
Bojana
Oh my gosh, I love the outfits you featured. That floral top, well both of them, style so well with the blush pants but really could go with anything. I do like the snakeskin slides, but the loafers are a great alternative. Currently, I am also doing a style challenge like thing and thank goodness because I am actually getting dressed again! Hahaha. I feel more like myself this week than I have in a while.

It does feel so good to get dressed but some days it just seems like a waste of time!! How sad, huh?
Thank you for the sweet comment.
Laura Bambrick
You are far above my style during these SIP days! Love your classy and stylish outfits! You look fabulous!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweet potato! I am in denim jeans and a tee today!
Deb
These sneaky little wardrobe shrinking bugs – isn’t it terrible how they are spoiling our clothes. But only the ones that have waistbands, how strange! The only consolation is that everyone’s wardrobes have them 😉
I love those pale pink trousers – they are so versatile and look great in every photo.
Seemed weird to hear you say you will wear that dress to a baseball game – I wonder when that will be? We’ve been told that any large sport gatherings here are unlikely to happen until at least the end of the year 🙁
Leslie Roberts Clingan
We haven’t been able to play baseball at all this year…no, I take that back, they had 2 games, I think BC…before Covid.
Now I am hearing about meat shortages so off to buy up more meat. So tiresome. But this too shall pass.
Ghulam Mohyudin
Good to know that works too! I learn so much from you as well! Keep it up great post.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, new friend, for visiting. Off to visit you!!
Kimberly F Malkiewicz
All of your outfits are channeling spring! I really like the twist hem tee your sister got for you and the lemon print top and the colored pants! My clothing had gotten snug before the quarantine. Ugh. It’s hard to get a look at how your gray is coming in. Is it about 4 inches? I broke quarantine this week and had my daughter cut my hair. Steve invited both daughters over for this Sunday. Stay safe and healthy!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Glad you were able to see your daughters. We are not allowed to have even family visits! Killing me over here.
My clothes were getting a bit snug before C-19, too. But I like to blame it on the virus.
Your hair is looking adorable. Kudos to the daughter who cut it. My gray is about 4″ I think. I guess one
thing about not having haircuts for months on end, the color is growing out and I can maybe cut most of it off once
the salons reopen.
Amy Johnson
All your looks are amazing and look so refreshing. I look terrible right now. I’ve been spending all my days in the garden so I am wearing old jeans and t shirts and usually covered in dirt. Yesterday I left my house for the first time in a month and it felt so good to put make up and do my hair. I wore pull on jeans, sneakers, a nicer tee shirt and a green utility jacket with a scarf and I felt so dressed up! ha ha!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I look pretty rough most days. This hair!! I don’t have the foggiest notion what to do with it at this length.
Daenel T.
The floral twist tee is too cute. I’m so in to the twist tees lately. I think because they look like a half tuck without having to do the work. Those Rock Star jeans are pretty fab too. I have two pairs of the leggings but I stopped wearing them for some reason, but I ran out of clean pants the other day and OHMYWORD I’m back to wearing the Rock Stars. The fit is crazy good.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Yay for Rockstars and rediscovering yours.
