Sweet friends,
Blessed to have YOU here! Want to introduce you to a friend of mine, Kim. This very special lady and I became acquainted through the Get Your Pretty On style challenges (still time to register for the fall challenge, here) and have kept up with each other through Facebook. She is a new grandma to the cutest little baby boy. Kim is also a Stella & Dot representative.
For the month of October, she is in hopes of providing a Stella & Dot pouf bag with goodies to 25 women in her area battling cancer. When I heard about Kim’s project, I asked if I could share it on my blog with you. And here we are. Let me have tell you more in her own words.
How did you get started working with Stella & Dot?
Actually it all started with a fashion blog! A few years ago, I suddenly did not know how to get dressed anymore! My daughter was in college, so I didn’t want to mimic her style and have that “trying too hard” look, but I hated to look frumpy before my time! So I googled “fashion blogs over 40” and selected a few to follow.
I began to notice that in my favorite OOTD posts, the jewelry was credited to Stella & Dot, which I had never heard of and thought must be a store located in another part of the country. It was on Cindi Spivey’s blog, Grace & Beauty, that I finally clicked on the link and discovered the company had a direct sales format and that I could purchase through one of their reps! And then I learned that I could become a rep myself and REALLY bulk up my accessories wardrobe with free and half off jewelry and bags that I could order as samples to use in my very own “boutique!” It’s online at www.stelladot.com/kimstreet!
Why Stella & Dot?
I’m an ex-CPA and quite analytical, so I researched it to death! I requested a catalog and showed it to women in my life representing various age groups to get their opinions. Everyone LOVED it! I did the same for a few other jewelry companies for comparison purposes. And although the other ones I looked at had a few pieces I liked, Stella & Dot had something on EVERY PAGE of the catalog that I wanted to order! haha! I talked with friends to see what they thought about being trunk show hostesses IF I were to sign up as a stylist. The first 4 I called were immediately interested and encouraging! So I took the plunge and signed up, on my 48th birthday no less! It’s never too late to try something new, right?!
What is your favorite thing about the Stella & Dot jewelry?
I think our design team is AMAZING! Let’s face it, you can buy jewelry anywhere! So if I was going to rep an accessories line, I wanted it to be unique. Many of our pieces are versatile in some way…earrings that can be worn as studs OR chandeliers, necklaces that can be worn 3-5 different ways and at different lengths, even bags that can be worn several different ways! It’s something I am proud to sell and show!
Do you have a favorite piece of jewelry in your collection?
It would be hard to pick just one! I’ve always gravitated to statement pieces and there have been quite a few that I have loved, but these days I am getting daily wear out of these lightweight Hammered Hoop Earrings! I have them in silver as well as gold and they literally go with everything! (This ex-CPA does love the value in that!)
Where did you get the idea for the pouf care packages?
From a Stella & Dot friend who lives in another state! The community of Stylists is connected in Facebook groups and we are constantly sharing ideas with each other! It’s been really fun to “get to know” girls all over the country through this little business! My mom is a 40 year ovarian cancer surviver, and although I don’t remember much about her chemo treatments, I’ve since had girlfriends undergo chemo and know it’s a really tough season. I thought this little treat might bring a smile along with some practical help on a day that might otherwise be quite miserable!
I plan to take them to my local Cancer Center and let the volunteers there distribute them! My goal is at least 25 poufs! I want EVERYONE receiving chemo on the day we deliver them to receive one! And if we surpass the goal, then they can just pass them out the next day as well!
How can we help with this project?
I would so love for your readers to consider “sponsoring” a pouf! For $32 (which includes tax and shipping) you purchase a pouf from me through my Stella & Dot website.
I am taking 100% of the commissions I earn on the poufs, and purchasing items to fill them with! In talking with a friend who went though chemo herself, I learned that cold feet, dry lips, and a dry mouth were pretty common annoyances. So I plan to include socks, lip balm, gum, mints, snacks, and an encouraging note!

Everyone who sponsors a pouf can personalize the message I include! It can be as simple as “With love, Janet” or “Best wishes from a 5 year breast cancer survivor!” I’ve also had folks wish to sponsor a pouf in honor of a loved one and include that info as well!
My phone number is 334-452-9075, and my email address is kimkstreet88@gmail.com. Just reach out in whichever way is most convenient and let me know you’d like to help! You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or PayPal. Pick your favorite pattern from the 4 available, dictate to me the note you want include in your pouf, and I take care of the rest!
Thanks so much for helping to brighten someone’s day who is in the fight of her life! It’s an easy way to be a blessing!
Each of us has been touched by cancer personally or indirectly. Here is a wonderful opportunity to be a blessing to someone who is fighting for their very life.
If you can help Kim reach her goal, please contact her directly by phone or email. I am sure you guys will join me in saying a prayer for the success of Kim’s project and for those who will be receiving these care packages.
Kim, thank you for making a difference in this world. Thank YOU, my sweet readers for any help you can offer. Make today special!
Hugs and kisses,
Andrea@WellnessNotes

Thank you, sweet friend. I hope Kim can reach her goal. I bought a chevron pouf for her project today. It looks hopeful to me. These
poor dear women are fighting for the health that I sometimes take for granted. Thank you for coming by.
