Sweet potatoes, it’s time for Thankful Thursday 02.2021. Right off the bat, let me just say I am thankful for you!! Thankful for your visits and comments and support. Family hugs all around.
Again today, I am linking up with Rebecca Jo for her gratitude series, which she publishes every week. Thankful Thursdays give me a opportunity to reflect back over all the little blessings in the last month. Most of these ‘gratefuls’ come straight from the things I have listed each night in my gratitude journal.
Sad to say, it has been months since I have shared a Thankful Thursday post. Started one in December and then LIFE. But through thick and thin and Covid, I have continued writing in my gratitude journal every night.
This post is going to be a highlight reel of some of the things I’ve been most thankful for since my last post, here.

Your Turn
What are you thankful for this month? Is life beginning to feel more like normal again in your community? Schools here have reopened for the first time since March of 2020. I have had my first vaccine and will have my second one this weekend. PC has had his first shot and will get his second one in mid-March. That makes 7 of us who will be inoculated by next month. Praying we are finally rounding the corner on this pandemic.
Stay healthy, sweet friends.
Hugs and kisses,
Deb
How lovely to read that you have so much to be thankful for – long may it last!
Can’t wait to reach the top of the list for the vaccine, hopefully in the next 6 weeks. Let’s hope that by summertime we are able to lift more of the restrictions – I really miss socialising!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hoping that dinners on your patio with friends is soon back on your social calendar. And time with those beautiful babies. I had my second vaccine on Sunday. Feel like a weight has been lifted just having that hedge of protection.
Dara
It is always great to be thankful for the little things!
Leslie Roberts Clingan

Penny Struebig
I’m thankful for you! I love reading your posts, even though I don’t comment often. Thanks for sharing all the fun things.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aww, you are the sweetest. Thank you so much for those kind words.
Iris
I’ve been trying to do the ‘thankful every day’ thing. Life gets in the way and has so many challenges – especially now – but there are always SO many things to be thankful for.
Grace & Peace, Iris

You are so right, Iris. There are always things to be thankful for. Sometimes just looking for one, snowballs into a list of things to be grateful for.
Joanne
So many wonderful things to be thankful for! We have heard that spectators are most likely going to be allowed for spring sports (which I am really excited about since my son is going to participate for the first time!).
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Yay, glad you have a son who will be playing sports this spring and that you will be able to watch him play. We are excited for baseball.
Mica
What a beautiful idea for a post! it’s good you have been recording things you’re grateful for each day too, it’s easy to overlook our blessings sometimes but nice to pause and look back on them!
Hope that you are having a good weekend 🙂 Took the kids to a new park today, they loved it! 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Mica. Yay for exploring a new park with the kids. Whenever we drive past a new park, I try to take a mental note about where it is so I can potentially take my grandbabies someday.
Natasha
YAY!!! You’re almost vaccinated!!! That is EXCELLENT news!!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, doll!! I am fully vaccinated now!!
Erin @ Cracker Crumb Life
So many good things here to be thankful for!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Yes, Erin, thank you!! Lucky lady, I am.
Lysha
It is so good to take time to write out things to be grateful for. Magnificent list!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Lysha. I really reflect back on all the good things to be grateful for.
Natalie
A wonderful list, Leslie. Glad to hear 7 of you have started receiving your vaccines. Stay safe and well!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Natalie.
Gail
Lovely list – what a nice thing to do. Things are still the same here in the UK – still in lockdown. We’ve seen a roadmap that lays out a cautious return to normality schedule. Unfortunately Mother’s Day (March here) and Easter won’t be family occasions (we’ll be able to see groups of 6 people at Easter but only outdoors). On the plus side the vaccination program is going well and I had my first one.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Gail. Glad you have gotten your first vaccine. Hoping that the spring holidays will look brighter and better as they approach.

What a great, beautiful list of your blessings, Leslie! I haven’t been good about pulling out my gratitude journal for February. You have inspired me to pull it back out. It does change perspective for sure. Thanks for the reminder.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aww, so glad that you are pulling out your gratitude journal again. Pour yourself that first cup of coffee in the morning, or curl up in bed at night with your journal and take just a few seconds to fill it in.
Kellyann Rohr
The little things really are the big things, I think we all learned that in the last year. This is such a good way to recognize those moments, and I am so impressed you write in your gratitude journal nightly – what a gift!
xo,
Kellyann
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Kellyann. Have been thinking of your practice and wondering if you have begun seeing clients? I know you will make such a difference to the lives of so many.
Christie Hawkes
Your thankful Thursday list brought me so much joy this morning, Leslie. I am thankful for you and our online friendship. I am grateful for a good night’s sleep and for Buddy lying peacefully at my feet while I type this. I’m thankful for a good cup of coffee and a warm house on this chilly morning. As you may have figured out, it’s early and I’m just getting going this morning. I hope you have a lovely day with much to be grateful for!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, Christie, I am so thankful for our friendship. I wish someday we could meet. I think we are very similar in lots of ways. Having Buddy lying at your feet must be as heavenly as it is for me to have my kitties curled up next to me for quiet time. Coffee and sunshine are always favorite blessings on chilly mornings for me, too.
