Welcome, ole pals to Sentence a Day 06.2023 – my monthly review of life in one run-on sentence a day. Today I am bringing you my sentences from June. Seemed like we were waiting for PC’s surgery forever…and then BAM, it happened. And on Friday of this week, it will have been a month since his surgery. And that’s the way of LIFE, huh?
Sentence a Day – OGT 2023
As always, want to give a big thanks to Rebecca Jo at Knit by God’s Hand for creating this series. This year, Rebecca is starting something that goes with SaD, she says it combines both. A thankful month idea – where every day, she will post a blessing, a gratitude for that day. And those posts will go live on the first Thursday of each month. Can’t believe I am on time this month!!
For each of my daily entries, you will see OGT after the date for that (looooooong) sentence. OGT = one good thing. And I am following Rebecca’s good lead by including one good thing I am grateful for each day.

2023 WOTY UPDATE: CONSISTENT
In May, I felt like I was being more intentionally consistent about a number of things within my control. But less so in June. The trouble seems to be that I have practically no control over anything but my attitude!! This past month, I did craft with my sister consistently (love doing that). But my commitment to an exercise routine fell by the wayside. And I was going to get my summer goals and bucket list put together and shared with you and that hasn’t happened yet.
But we have begun a new month. And there’s new hope that I can get back on track.
Your Turn
How would you rate your June? I think I would give ours a 6. Hate that PC had to have surgery but thankful that he came through with flying colors and is recovering well. More hopeful for July.
Thank you for coming by. I have been watching “The Mistress and the Child” trial on Law&Crime Trials on YouTube. My sister, and both daughters have been watching with me. Even PC has watched a little of it, too. The jury went out on deliberation about 3 hours ago and we are all waiting with bated breath to see what they come back with. None of us dreamed the jury would take more than about 15 minutes to find Ronald Anthony Burgos-Aviles guilty. But they are.
Sweet dreams, friends!! Have a fun Fri-YAY!!
Hugs and kisses,
I’m so glad to catchup with you and hear PC is cancer free and able to get the cath removed. Hope all things continue well for both of you!
Thank you, doll. Every day, PC feels a little better. Today has been probably the most normal day yet. PTL!
HI, Leslie – I am relieved to hear that PC went through surgery well and is recovering nicely. Wishing you a 10/10 July/August. You definitely deserve it!
Thank you so much, my friend. I would glady take double tens for the remainder of the summer.
I’m so glad PC’s surgery is behind both of you. You accomplished so much even with that going on. I love seeing the photos of Pumpkin! What a delightful doggo! Will continue to pray for you all.

Thank you, my dear friend, for walking and praying through this journey with us.
Pumpkin is a mess. But I love her!!
Wow what a month you and PC had! So glad he is cancer free, that you found out why you were dizzy and how to address it and that there were some good times in there as well. You look lovely in all of those outfits. I must get a full length mirror for this house and up my clothing game once again. Perhaps a treadmill as well.
WOW – what a month!! I am so glad that your PC is cancer free and did so well with recovery. When my brother had the same surgery, he recovered here at my house and I remember it taking quite a while. I will be praying that PC continues to do well and that no further treatment is needed. So sorry that you have been dizzy and having your own struggles. Hard to catch your breath – with that is on your plate! I will say a prayer for you as well:)
I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and, especially, for the very nice comment you left me a week (or so) ago! It came on a day when I was wondering if I should even “return” to blogging. I was not sure any readers would even remember me….and then you sent me such a nice comment – just to check on me! It really meant much to me…..and encouraged me to start posting again. Getting back in the swing of things is proving challenging but that’s ok. I will enjoy posting when I can:)
As always, I am amazed at all you write!! And so enjoy all your updates. Thanks for sharing with us:) Here’s to a good July. Perhaps one a bit quieter:) Take care my friend!
You are so sweet!! I am glad you are back to blogging. Life keeps me hopping and I don’t always get around to all the blogs I follow all the time. But I am trying to do better. You are a dear friend. Your blogs are uplifting to me and to others and we need your voice!!
Hi Leslie – what a month!!!! No wonder you’ve been crying! I’m so glad Paul’s operation went well, but it sounds like there’s still more of the journey ahead. Getting old “ain’t for no sissies”! Glad you’re also getting your vertigo under control. I know several people who’ve had vertigo issues and they all say that the crystal realignment exercises are very helpful.
I hope July is a much brighter and happier month for you both – may there be lots of good news health-wise for the whole family, and some rest and rejuvination for you in the process. God is good and things will eventually settle. x
You are so right!! Things have settled a bit. And I am feeling much calmer and sleeping better and enjoying being able to spend some time doing things I like to do. Thank you for the support and prayers.
Hmm.. it was so weird; I got 1/4 of the way through reading this post and thought I had already read it. I scrolled to the bottom and didn’t see a comment from me so I figured I was mistaken. I read another 1/4 of it before determining that yes, I did in fact read all this but must have forgotten to comment! I am so glad that Paul’s surgery is behind you both and that he is doing so well with his recovery. So relieved to hear he’s cancer free!!
Thank you for reading this post twice!! Thank you for the kind words about PC. We are so grateful for the support of our friends.
Oh my goodness Leslie…what a month…and more. I am so sorry about Paul and hope over time the news is good.
My Dad had that dizziness and it “rocked” him so much they put him into rehab hospital and over time got him well enough to return home and he knows he can take a particular med if it returns. Take care my dear friend, I felt a bit exhaust reading your post…
Thank YOU so much for sharing your post for Wednesday’s Words and Pics. I appreciate your presence as part of the community! Denyse.
I need to link up with you guys again. So enjoy your posts.
Hi Leslie, what an up and down month you had. I do hope you’re doing OK and PC is starting to feel more normal as the days go by. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Yes, we are thankful to be on the other side of this cancer.
