Welcome dear ones to Sentence a Day 01.2023 – my monthly review of life in one run-on sentence a day. Today I am bringing you my sentences from January, as long-winded as always. Each month I tell myself to try to do just a couple of words for each day. But I wind up writing more instead. Please accept my apologies.
Sentence a Day- OGT 2023
As always, want to give a big thanks to Rebecca Jo at Knit by God’s Hand for creating this series. This year, Rebecca is starting something that goes with SaD, she says it combines both. A thankful month idea – where every day, she will post a blessing, a gratitude for that day. And those posts will go live on the first Thursday of each month. Which is…ta-da…today!!
For each of my daily entries, you will see OGT after the date for that (looooooong) sentence. OGT = one good thing. And I am following Rebecca’s good lead by including one good thing I am grateful for each day. For years – since my friend Carrie sent me the first one – I have kept a gratitude journal. Last night I completed the last post in my current journal. Now, do I buy a new one or just add my gratefuls here? Looking at this one on Amazon. Going to put it in my cart.
Just a reminder: Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After occasionally uses affiliate links which are usually italicized. If you click or make a purchase from an italicized link provided I may receive a very small commission at no cost to you. Thank you for your support.

Hugs and kisses,

It was fun to catch up with you! I remember visiting the Loretto Chapel as a kid and marveling at the incredible staircase! It’s such a miracle!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Isn’t that staircase amazing. Beautiful chapel. Santa Fe has something for everyone.
Deb
What a busy time you’ve had! Sounds like you are the most popular teacher with those school kids – I bet they love it when they see that it is you subbing for their class.
So pleased to hear that 2023 has got off to a good start for you 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, Deb, I am so thankful for this gentle, happy start to the new year. Even cutting back some on subbing. Life is very good in 2023.
Joanne Tracey
So much lovely family time in here – it sounds as though it’s been a busy month. Hope your health is back on track and love your beautiful new floor.

Marsha Banks
Your subbing days almost make me want to sub…notice I said almost! I’m so glad you have so much time with your grands. I miss seeing mine since they’ve all reached that middle school age and are so busy with their lives!

Leslie Roberts Clingan
The subbing has about gotten to me the last couple of assignments. My badge has almost cracked in two and I have gone through 3 badge holders. I am wondering if that is a sign that it’s time to hang up my hat.
Nancy
Always lovely to read these kinds a posts! A peek into the life of women around the world.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. It is fun to read about the daily lives of others.
Meranda@fairytalesandfitness
Thank you for being a sub. Substitutes are so hard to get in my district!
( visiting from the link up)
Leslie Roberts Clingan
You are such a dear to say leave this comment. Thank you very much. I have very selfish reasons for subbing. One being that I get to see my granddaughter when I sub. Ha!! But I also love the hugs from all of the kids. The I love yous from my kinder babies. And the paychecks. Thank you for stopping by.
Joanne
I always say I’m going to keep my SAD posts nice and short too but I never do! I can not limit myself to just 1 sentence. It does sound like you had a lovely month though. Building snowmen and getting massages sounds like a great way to start the month off too.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
My January was wonderful. And the first part of February, too, but things have taken a difficult turn this week.
Natasha
I’m so happy bunny was found, even if a bit snowy. And I hope for better sleep for you in February. I wish I had “at home” days to catch up on all the house projects. I love seeing more from you on the blog, friend.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweet friend. I am glad to be back…to some degree, to blogging. The bunny we lost and found is now lovingly called ‘snow bunny.’ She was left accidentally at daycare all weekend and we had a minor crisis on our hands when Cami realized she would have to sleep without snow bunny until Monday night.
Danielle @ A Sprinkle of Joy
Oh my goodness! Such a busy month!! Those snowmen are so cute. I hope you like the movie! Always a fun time to go to the theater to see something on the big screen. 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. We had a great time building the snow men.
Afaq Ishtiaq

Thank you so much. I was so happy to see that little bunny peeking out from under the snow. And Camila was ecstatic.
