Hi Dolls!
So glad you are here.
For today’s My Fashion Haus post I am linking up with Carrie Curly, Crafty Mom and Jill at Doused in Pink for their Thursday Fashion Files. The outfit I am sharing is something I put together a couple of weeks ago to wear for a sub job. The colors read fall but the lightweight, open-weave of the top makes it appropriate for El Paso fall.
I love earth tones.

Have I said that today?
I probably wear jewel tones better than earth tones but I just gravitate to greens and terra cotta.
Here’s the rundown on the pieces in this summer-fall transition outfit. Loft curvy, skinny ankle jeans (similar), Two One Two New York open-weave, mitered top from Stein Mart (exact, here on sale) worn with a Snug cami (available here, similar) underneath. My nude pumps are BCBG from DSW (similar, similar). My cross necklace was something I bought at booth at a wine festival.
Head-to-toe shot, complete with double chin.
Head-to-toe shot with craned neck to camouflage said double chin.
I really do like this outfit.
Can you tell?
So, I was just going to call it a day there. Short-n-sweet. One little outfit. But then Carrie at Curly, Crafty Mom had on the cutest outfit for her Thursday Fashion Files link-up. I wasn’t sure what I was going to wear today until I stopped by Carrie’s blog and there it was.
My inspiration.

I had almost all of the ingredients to replicate this cuteness so I did!
Ta-da…
My camo jeans are from Loft (similar, similar). This little black tee is from Express (similar, similar), and has a bit of chiffon at the hemline to dress it up some. These little gold slip-on flats are Mossimo scrunch ballet flat from Target (similar). My necklace is a knock-off the Stella & Dot ladder necklace. My gold bracelet is from Loren Hope (similar, similar). And little beaded bracelets from my BFF Sharon. XO
Wore this to volunteer at the El Paso Holocaust Museum this afternoon. I didn’t even want to take it off when I got home because it was so comfy. Decided to sashay around the block in it to show off.
Please run over to check out Jill and Carrie’s great looks for Thursday. I also linked up with Jennie at A Pocketful of Polka Dots for her Fabulous Friday post. Be sure to stop by to see Jennie, too.
Time to close up shop at my fashion haus. Now I’m going to turn my attention to my fantasy football quarterback Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos now. He is having a tough season so far. Need to cheer him on.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs and kisses,
Cathy crandall

Yay, Cathy!!! So glad you are still coming by. Thank you for leaving a comment. Love knowing that you are having fun when you read my silly posts. That makes me happy. Hope you can find some green pants. I have to be careful because I have been known to buy the very same thing (pants, tops) over again in green just because I saw it in the store and loved it again, a second time. Got home and realized it was exactly what I already had!! Love me some green. Please come back again. And send me a pic of your favorite summer-to-fall transition outfit so I can share it! XO

Love these looks on you Leslie!!! So pretty! And just perfect looks for this time of year!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweet Katie. Had fun copying Carrie’s great camo look. She is a cutie.
Lana
Love both of these outfits on you. I wish I had bought those camo pants from Loft last year. Sigh. Maybe they will bring them back?
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I really like the colors in the Loft camo. I guess in some ways camo is camo is camo but these seem to have shades of pink and blue, and make me feel less like a duck hunter and more like a girl.

Can’t think of a cuter gal to be twins with! It was funny because I hadn’t gotten dressed and didn’t even feel motivated to do so that day til I saw Carrie’s outfit. Bam! I jumped out of bed and into the shower!!
Stacey
Love your outfit! You are so tall and pretty. Those colors look great on you.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, what a kind thing to say. I am shrinking so fast that I can’t keep up with how tall, make that SHORT, I am. I have this sensational skinny mirror from Kirkland’s that makes me look long and lean, though. Come back for tomorrow’s post. I look like a linebacker. No mirror pictures. My hubby took them for me.

Leslie, I too love earth tones and I’m in love with the colors of the top with the green pants. My house has gone through many transitions over the years, starting with earth tones, doing the country feel with blues and now coming back to earth tones and nature.
In fashion, I seem to gravitate toward the pallet of one color for about a year and then another color grabs my attention. Right now I think I’m in between colors. Any suggestions?
Leslie Roberts Clingan
With your pretty coloring, I bet your could do the burgundy-dusty pink and deep greens that are going to be popular this fall. You would wear that burgundy like a true fashionista. Do you ever shop at Loft Outlet? I just find things there that suit me better that any other store. Thank you so much for your sweet comment and for coming by! If you buy something you love, send me a pic to share on the blog! Can’t wait to see.

Hi Leslie, new to your blog as of today 10/2/15. My daughter is a Healthy Lifestyle/Fashion blogger, so I follow a few of her bloggers for recipes, etc. and I found your name on a Pocket Full of Polka Dots blog. Loving your blog already. It’s nice to find bloggers from “our” generation. Keep up this wonderful blog, looking forward to reading on a daily basis. I too am a empty nester, and actually my daughter just had her second child, so I’m juggling my part time work and watching my two little love bugs….it’s the greatest! Have a Wonderful Weekend..:-)

OH MY GOSH!!! Just saw this sweet message. Thank you so much!!!! Consider yourself hugged. Tell me more about you. What do you do part-time? I guess your grandbabies live nearby if you are watching them for your daughter. I am soooo jealous! My youngest daughter (the one who is currently pregnant) will be moving closer to me in a year. I CANNOT WAIT! She will still be three or four hours away but so much closer than 800 miles away! Now to get my oldest daughter and granddaughter to move closer to home. That would be pig heaven for sure.
So glad you happened across my blog. Hope you will continue to come by and comment! So glad to have a new friend. Big hugs!
