Hello, dollies! Linking up with Narci, Erika and Andrea, today with my Friday Favorites, 02.2020 post. I think a lot of gals make this a weekly series but I am going to try to have a Friday Favorites post once a month, on the last Friday. We’ll see how that goes. What is it they say about the best laid plans? You can read last month’s Friday Faves, here.
Looks like one of my Friday Favorites in the near future might need to be a new bra.

Here a few new favorite things I stumbled across this month.
Surrender Cross
You know how I have been doing that Proverbs 31 Bible study “Trustworthy” with Lysa Terkeurst? Well, we just finished this week. I am so proud of myself for sticking with it. Maybe I am beginning to finish things after all. Anyway, I was over at the Proverbs 31 Ministries website looking around and found this beautiful Surrender cross.

You might remember I have a cross wall in my loft where I often do my quiet time as well as my crafts. I am thinking I need to add this cross to my collection. It speaks to my word of the year, BELIEVE. Turning things over to God. Believing He will hold me up through anything.
The Surrender™ Cross is an experiential product that allows you to leave those fears and burdens at the cross. It includes 10 precut pieces of paper to write down your burdens, insecurities and fears. [source]
Isn’t that beautiful? Have been waiting for payday so I can order one.
GYPO Closet Challenge
You know how I am doing Taylor’s 52 Week Organized Home Challenge? Well, February has been about recycling/trash cans, coupons (which I rarely use), meal planning/grocery shopping (have this under control with my own system), and this week, the laundry room. What room? Laundry hall? Laundry pass-through? Our washer and dryer are just in a small space inside the door we use to go to the garage. No room about it. And therefore, nothing to organize.
Next week we are talking laundry schedule. But I do our laundry on Sunday and Monday which works for us. So, when Alison from Get Your Pretty On mentioned her free 5 day closet cleaning challenge starting 03.02.2020, I signed up. One of my winter goals was to purge my closet. Now I have a challenge to help me through! You can join the fun by registering here. We can purge the riff-raff then replace them with trendy new pieces from the spring capsule wardrobe challenge together, coming up 03.13.2020. Mark those calendars.

Adjustable Cell Phone Stand
I have mentioned trying to do some video blogging or vlogging, and have tried my hand at it a time or two. Including a 90 sec video for my application for Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine Resident Librarian. Still waiting to hear who was hired for that position, btw. I haven’t had a tripod or stand for my phone when I am making video recordings. Enter the CreaDream adjustable cell phone stand. Plan on using it next week for a lil bitsy (as Cia would say) video, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check it out!

M&Ms
What’s your favorite candy? I would say mine is a toss up between Atomic Fireballs, Payday, Almond Joy and M&Ms. Last fall, I discovered that M&M is filling their little chocolate shells with new flavors. The jalapeño M&Ms that came out around Halloween were so good. This winter I tried mint flavored and hazelnut M&Ms, they were tasty, too.
I was in Walmart this week and came across 2 new flavors, English toffee peanut M&Ms and white chocolate peanut M&Ms. They are both right up there with jalapeño. Especially the toffee!!
I was back in Walmart today to get cat food and found myself in the candy aisle again. Had to walk through it to get to pet food. Right. Right. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Came across these other new M&Ms in some very creative packaging. Didn’t buy any because I couldn’t decide which was more appropriate for me! They are all so fitting!
My faves are the emotional support candy, the I love being socially awkward with you, and I like you more than most people. So much fun. And these come in assorted flavors, too. Caramel, peanut butter, and hazelnut. Check out your favorite discount department store to see if they have these in stock yet.
#WouldYouRather
I discovered a new blogger, Jill Weatherholt, and her blog by the same name through an interview she did with my friend Donna at Retirement Reflections. The post was part of a series that Jill does called #WouldYouRather. She poses 2 situations or possibilities to her guest blogger who has to choose which she would rather and explain why.
For example, Jill asked Donna if she would rather speak all languages or be able to speak to all animals? Isn’t that fun? And thought-provoking! Donna didn’t miss a beat with her answers. Click here to check out this intriguing post. Blog posts that make me think are my faves. And not just on Friday.
Your Turn
What would you share in your Friday Favorites 02.2020 post? Let me know in a comment below. Your faves might become my faves, too!!
Thank you for visiting, friends. We will be up with the chickens in order to catch our 6:30 am flight to Phoenix. Hope you have some fun in store this weekend. Hope you will run by to visit the hostesses for this link up, Narci, Erika and Andrea.
Hugs and kisses,
Joanne
I like to try most of the M&M flavors as we see new ones out. I like the coffeenut, caramel, and peanut butter (PB tends to be the reigning favorite) but I know I’d love English toffee too.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Coffeenut M&Ms are one I haven’t tried. And PB? OH MY GOSH!! I am the peanut butter queen. But until I try those my faves are these toffee M&Ms and the jalapenos I had this fall.

I am always so impressed by how focused you are and how much you accomplish. I had to laugh about you attempt to name your laundry area! We have a laundry corner but I am thrilled to have it after 20 years of having one in a partial basement with dirt walls and crawl space next to it. Not to mention that is was 2 stories down from our bedroom and closets. Great exercise though.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Wow, laundry corner!! And in the basement. That was a haul to have to take the clothes down there and back up. I am sure it was great exercise. Mine was in the garage in my little house before I married Paul. At least it is in the house now.
Thank you for the sweet words. I feel like I am such a ditz, so I appreciate your compliment about me being focused. I try hard but find myself scrambling when I forget something really important!
Kristin
Ooohh! Good picks for friday favorites! I usually do a weekly roundup on Sundays and include some favorites but I haven’t done it yet this year. But I’m planning on getting back on track starting this week.
I totally meant to apply for the librarian thing but totally forgot!!
Have a good trip! Oh. I think the “Socially Awkward” M&M’s would be my fav. LOL.
xoxo

Leslie Roberts Clingan
Socially Awkward is the way I roll!! People always laugh when I say I am an introvert, shy, socially uncomfortable…until they get to know me a little better. And then they get it! Ha!!
Would you be interested in doing a spring bucket list with me?? Going to send you an email.
Dara
I need to clean out my closets and drawers. I’m just too lazy! I love M&Ms. My favorites are peanut butter and hazelnut. I saw those fun sayings ones and almost bought one!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I saw some more bags of M&Ms with new messages yesterday. Really cute. But I have to stop buying them!!!
Rebecca Jo Vincent
OKKKKKKK – I’m heading to check out that surrender cross RIGHT NOW! That is gorgeous & love the idea of what is represents!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hope you ordered a surrender cross. I am hoping to get one next pay day.
Carrie @ Curly Crafty Mom
Toffee M&M’s? Oh yum! I really like that iPhone stand, wow… I might have to take the plunge and buy one. It’d be nice for unboxing videos, etc. Love this idea behind the surrender cross! We just got new master bedroom furniture (our old furniture was 20 years old and we got a King mattress last spring and still needed a King headboard for it! lol). Anyway, it was nice to go through each and every drawer and clean it out and donate/trash some things!

They are so good, those toffee M&Ms. But jalapeno are still my faves.
This pink gold phone stand was very inexpensive. Now to use it!! I want to make the occasional video
but struggle to get my phone to stand up so I can do it.
Which headboard did you go with? The one everyone was voting for? Both were very pretty and elegant.
You are going to love a king sized bed.
Donna Connolly
I didn’t know about Toffee M&M’s either! Seriously, how did I miss that!?
Love your Friday favourites!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, the toffee M&Ms are divine!! But I have to quit eating them. Tempted to finish up the bag tonight – big sacrifice – so they are GONE!!
Amy Johnson
That surrender cross is a great concept. And I don’t eat candy (although I wish I could) but I had no idea there were so many varieties of M&M’s. The emotional support variety is hysterical.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aren’t those M&Ms just so fun!! Was back in Walmart yesterday and discovered some more cute bags. Love!! I need to quit eating them…fast!
Really wanting to get that surrender cross. It speaks to me.
Jill
I love the idea of the surrender cross! All of those M&M’s are so fun! And I would love to try the jalapeno! Yum!

Leslie Roberts Clingan
Isn’t that cross so cool? I love it, too. Will have to wait til next pay day to get it but I am looking forward to putting it to good use.
If you ever see the jalapeno M&Ms, please take the plunge. You will be glad you did. So good!
ShootingStarsMag
I love m&m’s though I don’t think I’ve tried many of the new flavors. Those little bags are so cute though – love the fun sayings!! That phone stand is really cool too. I want to get a tripod sometime soon to help with taking photos.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Do they make tripods for cell phones, I wonder? Hope this little phone stand will help me to do another video soon. I need to eat the last of these M&Ms and not buy another bag til I get my Christmas weight off!
Nancy Dobbins
Hi Leslie,
Loved reading about everything you’ve been up to. I think these are becoming my favorite type of post as I get a glimpse into the lives of my favorites! I, too, love Donna’s “Would you rather?” and have followed Jill for a while – she’s great and so pleased you connected.
Have a marvelous month of March!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, my friend. Glad to have you stop by. Jill’s ‘Would you rather” series is so clever and I really enjoyed reading Donna’s responses. Have made a new friend in Jill!!
Jill Weatherholt
I’m so happy you enjoyed the interview with Donna, Leslie. She’s such a sweetheart. I enjoyed learning more about her. It’s great to connect with you! As for M&Ms…I love them all! <3
