Fashionistas and clothes-wearing friends, welcome!! It is the third Thursday of the month so you know what that means. Nope, it’s not Howdy Doody time…it is time for Ageless Style 02.2023. Marsha chose the theme of kindness for this month as today is Random Act of Kindness Day. Immediately all the Ageless Style gals started brainstorming ideas for ways to ‘style’ the theme. Maybe using a graphic tee, a prop. Featuring sustainable fabric that is environmentally kind. Jodie even suggested this darling children’s picture book as inspiration for this month’s theme.
Speaking of kindness…before we go any further…see that wind chime I am touching in the photo above? That was a gift from my sweet, sweet blogger friend Kellyann sent to me after my mom’s death in the summer. It makes the prettiest music and helps me to feel like my mama is a little closer every time I hear it tinkle.

AGELESS STYLE 02.2023
I love graphic tees. You probably know that about me already. They can be such a fun way to incorporate personal style, personal beliefs into your wardrobe. I have graphic tees with messages and graphic tees with just images that I like. Have ordered many of my favorites including the one I am sharing today from Etsy. Styling it two ways.
My tee shirt reads “Kindness: Sprinkle It Around Like Confetti.” Don’t you love that? What a better place this world would be if we all just amped up the kindness we extend toward others.
Graphic Tee and Skirt
Lauren and I had a girls’ day in late December. We had breakfast at La Madeleine then shopped at Versona and Loft and followed that up with glittery gold gel pedicures for New Years. I found this tweed skirt on sale at Loft. The nubby texture and bright colors reminded me of confetti. And of the expression about tossing kindness about like confetti. Had always liked that idea.
Coming to you directly from the Loft dressing room. How ’bout that pattern mixing? I was thinking the skirt might be just festive enough for New Year’s Eve. But it turned out we didn’t go out that last evening of the year so I hadn’t had an opportunity to wear to wear it until this link-up.
For this post, I paired my confetti skirt and kindness graphic tee with black (p)leather boots and a black (p)leather moto jacket. Added some multicolor acrylic hoop earrings that echoed the confetti sprinkled about on the tee.
Time for a haircut or at least a trim.
This skirt was a whole lot shorter on me when I put it on for this post. How does that happen? It felt borderline too short at Loft and I asked Lauren if it was. But we decided with tights, it would be okay. In these pictures, it looks like I have on a mini skirt and go-go boots à la Goldie Hawn on “Laugh-In.”
Giving a nod to PC’s upcoming baseball season in this next photo. Can’t believe they have already played their first scrimmage game.
And boy, that skirt is short!! Get some clothes on, girl!!
Graphic Tee and Cords
In an effort to show little less leg, I changed things up by swapping the skirt for a pair of black cords. Am I the only one still wearing and loving corduroy pants? I think they look a little more polished than some of my jeans but are just as comfy.
Had forgotten until looking at this picture that I added a bit-o-bling with this version. Sparkly earrings and a statement necklace. I asked PC if we could take a few pictures up the street at the base of the Franklin Mountains and the start of the Lazy Cow trailhead.
Would you please extend to me the kindness of pretending I have pedicured toes peeking out of my peep-toe booties? Anybody else just hate spending money on pedis and manis?
Looking back on this picture, I am thinking maybe my cardi looks a little big. What do you think? Funny how I can look at my reflection in the mirror and not notice things like that. But seeing myself in a photo makes a difference. Might need to give it the big heave ho. Cleaning out my closet is one of my winter goals. Wrote about that here to make me more accountable. Next week is the week, girls. Next week is the week.
5 Day Closet Clean Out Challenge
Going to be using Alison’s “5 Day Closet Clean Out Challenge” to get ‘er done. I have done this before but have accumulated more clothes. Time to do it again with no mercy. Will be following these questions Alison suggests we consider in tackling a closet clean out.
- Have I worn it in the past year?
- Is it a classic piece that will stay in style?
- Is it still in good condition?
- Do I feel good when I wear this?
- Does it fit?
- Would I buy this again?

Oh, girls. I was so optimistic about this new year. Think I’ve mentioned it a time or two to you guys. But we’ve had a setback this week. Won’t say more than that now but would appreciate any good thoughts or prayers you can send up on our behalf. We surely appreciate it.
Off to try to do something productive. Hoping to join up for “What’s on Your Book Shelf?” – a book review link-up with some of my favorite bloggers and to join Gail and friends for “Tell Us About…”. Now to just get those posts put together for public consumption!!
Thank you for your support and friendship. Wishing you a restful weekend.
Hugs and kisses,
mireille
Well, I think you get the award for the best outfits for this month’s theme. I absolutely love the first outfit (and no, the skirt is not too short, thanks to the tights) and that Etsy shirt is perfect! Adding the pleather jacket just completes the outfit perfectly.
I am hoping you show us some of your closet clean out process: I always love seeing people do that. I pretty much do a constant closet cleanout so never have to do a big one.

They are great questions to help clean out your clothes – I especially like ‘would I buy this again?’ I’ve just gone through my clothes and donated a bag to a charity shop so am feeling very virtuous!
They are both great combinations of colours and clothes and that skirt looks great with the opaque tights and boots.
Sharon
BFF! You can show those legs any day! I do like the black tights with the skirt though. 🥰 Best figured Mimi I know! Just beautiful!
Joanne
I think that skirt looks fabulous with your graphic tee and tights!
Sally in St Paul
Such a cute t-shirt and I love both of these looks. It is perfection with that colorful tweed skirt!

First off, you need to add this photo to my pinned FB post on Jtouchofstyle for the Print mixing challenge (with the skirt). It’s absolutely perfect and an easy way to incorporate print mixing (although I love the LOFT dressing room one too).
And the skirt? OMG, you look positively modern and young as can be with that shorter skirt. I think you need to wear it more!!!

Hi Leslie,
I’m loving your graphic tee and the ways you are enjoying wearing it❣️
What a fantastic message. We all can sprinkle bits of kindness each and everyday.
All it takes is practice🥰
Joanne Tracey
I love that cute tweed skirt and how you styled it with the tee and jacket. You wear it well.
Gale
Hi, Leslie! I love the tee! Both the message and the colors! I’ve worn my black corduroy pants quite a bit this winter, so NO…you’re not alone.👍 Sorry to read about a setback, and I will certainly be keeping you in my prayers.
Marsha Banks
First, that skirt is not too short! You have gorgeous legs so show them off! And, yes, tights make the skirt “longer.” Next, that tee is so much fun! I love graphic tees, too, but have never thought to check Etsy. I’d probably get lost as I clicked from one to the next! Hey, I’m always here if you need to “talk,” my friend!

Your tee is absolutely adorable! Love both of these outfits but the first is my favorite! Love your skirt and the jacket gives the look a little edge! Have a wonderful weekend!

That’s a very cute tshirt!
Amy Johnson
That is the cutest tee and I love how you styled it.
Laura Bambrick
That skirt is so cute! I love it paired with your graphic tee. Both of these outfits are darling with your tee!
MelAnn
Oh how I love your graphic tees and your style! I used to wear graphic tees and jeans all of the time until I decided I didn’t look good in them anymore! You’ve inspired me to take another try with it! Have a great weekend and you are in my prayers!
Natasha
I love the t-shirt and how you styled it. I LOVE the skirt and I do not think it is too short. Also, I love those questions for the closet clean out.
Natasha
Also, I am praying for you as you navigate the setback to your lives. I pray it is not serious and that the final outcome will be a good one.
Jessica A Jannenga
That tee was meant to be for this Fashion theme! I love it. I think it is so important to think outside ourselves and offer help or a kind word to people. It might make someone’s day! I love the 2 different outfits and that skirt looks great on you!
Have a wonderful week!

I like graphic tees and this one is super cute! I love it with that pretty pink cardigan! I actually received a new tee earlier this month (part of a subscription club) and it was a “Kindness” tee – well, what do you know! Not sure I look quite as cute in mine but I have gotten several compliments. Seems everyone enjoys a little reminder about kindness!!:)
