Do sa do on in here for today’s “Create28” prompt. Our graphic says that Day 24 gingham galore will be brought to you by my classy friend and fellow Blended Blog contributor Carrie from A Lovely Little Wardrobe. I am sorry to disappoint you, but Carrie is taking a temporary break from all things Internet, so you are stuck with me.
But I remembered that Carrie had worn some really cute gingham looks during past style challenges through Get Your Pretty On and her own blog. So even though Carrie isn’t with us physically, she is here through the magic of the World Wide Web.
I give you the Carrie you know, love and were expecting today, in two of her cute gingham looks.
I wish I could give you the shopping details on these darling ensembles but we will have to make a note to ask Carrie when she returns to us. In the meantime, I took the liberty of finding a few cute gingham goodies on Polyvore for your consideration.
You can find the shopping details for these pieces pinned on Pinterest, here. Or by following me on Polyvore, here. While I was window shopping – maybe ‘monitor’ shopping instead – I stopped by ShopStyle and picked out a few more gingham checked cuties.
I really don’t have a lot of gingham in my closet – so gingham galore is a stretch – but with all of these great pieces out there just waiting for someone to take them home, I am sure I won’t have much trouble remedying that, lickity-split. I do have two gingham blouses. One in that split-pea soup green better known as citron and the other navy and white. Here’s the citron-colored gingham with a floral scarf, both from Target styled with an Old Navy boyfriend cardi, Loft skinny denim and DSW nude pumps.
Going to have to wear this outfit again. I like the combination of colors. And even with our 100+ temperatures lately, I am always cold in the air conditioning. Except this weekend when I am drowning in Houston’s humidity. Sure enjoying time with my grandbaby girl Lucia – babysitting while Lauren and Francisco work and finish packing for their move next week to Albuquerque.
Well, it is very late and I have had all kinds of little quirky problems with this post. My Shopstyle link is not uploading the pictures of the items I found for you but I am hopeful that when this post goes live, that issue will have been resolved by those same fairies that helped the shoemaker make shoes. Thought I lost my Polyvore layout, too, but it turned up again. Those are definite signs that it’s time to give up on this post. I started it a day and a half ago but have been happily interrupted a dozen times for feedings, diaper changes, a bath, a bedtime story and lots of loves. And I get to do it all again tomorrow.
So question of the post. Question: Do you have gingham in your closet? Which of the pieces above speaks most to you? (Yeah, I know, that’s two questions…but if you don’t want to answer number one, you can answer number two!)
Thank you for joining me today. Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend.
Hugs and kisses,
Andrea Nine
Holy Gingham Bateman!! Bat woman, lol. Love all this gingham goodness!! And citron swoon as I adore that color combo on you with the blues!! Gorgeous lady, go have a gorgeous weekend and stay cool!!
Sharon
Love these colors on you! It’s too hot here to think about a sweater right now but have one with this color combo! I have zero gingham in my closet so I guess that’s a fashion trend I didn’t get on board with. Love love your hair cut! So pretty! I’m so glad you are getting lots of baby time. Lucia is the cutest thing!

It’s too hot in Houston for a cardi, too, except out in the AC in stores and stuff. However, this Mimi hasn’t left the kids apartment! Living in
workout clothes this week to be comfy and cool. Thank you for liking my hair cut. I like it, too. And after all, it is just hair!
Sheila @ Sheila's Potpourri
I do have gingham in my closet! I happen to love that pattern/print. That citron and blue is a great combo and Carrie’s looks are right up my alley!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I love all of Carrie’s great gingham looks. She is so clever in her pattern-mixing. When I think of some of my favorite looks of yours I think pattern – stripes and gingham, too. Thank you for coming by.
Whitney @ Whitney à la mode
How sweet of you to include pictures of Carrie! And I am absolutely loving the color combination in your gingham galore creation. You definitely need to wear this again!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aww, thank you, sweet Whitney. I felt like Carrie needed to be a part of my post because she is so great in gingham. Was glad to see her wearing mint the other day.
Mary
Love those colors on you! And no, have no gingham but might have to fix that. Enjoy the chaos with you little one!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Mary. Chaos is right. Moving day begins tomorrow. The apartment is a maze of boxes. This little baby girl is a delight but will be anxious to get these kids moved so their lives can return to normal. If you get some gingham and would like to share…please do! Or any other outfit you enjoy wearing. XO
Sarah @ Foxy's Domestic Side
Love that outfit friend! I’m going to go with the bottom right red gingham dress, so darling, and so my style!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Those gingham dresses are fun and kind of ’50s feeling. Wouldn’t mind having a couple myself. Thank you for coming by, sweet Sarah.
Andrea@WellnessNotes
I don’t have any gingham summer pieces! I’ll have to change that! I love your outfit – the yellow is so pretty with the pale blue!

Thank you, sweet friend. I have really enjoyed wearing yellow and blue together this spring.
