Hey gals,
Just a quick note to say I am home from my trip to Kentucky and will be sharing my mom’s 90th birthday celebration with you soon in an upcoming post. Also, have the release of my spring bucket list planned for Monday, the first day of spring. If you have a spring bucket list to share, let me know. And have lots of “Little Miracles” for which I am grateful. Good things coming!!
Today, I am doing laundry, getting back in the swing of things at home and looking forward to a weekend with temps in the 80s!! Maybe even 90! Jumping into spring in a big way.
If you are looking for a good book to read as spring approaches, please consider joining The Blended Blog’s virtual book club for great reads and great conversation and discussion. We’re currently mid-way through March and enjoying this month’s four titles. Great thing about TBB’s virtual book club (aside from the fact that you can participate from the comfort of your own fill in the blank….pjs, bed or bathtub…) is that you can read at your own speed as few or as many of the books as you like. And be a Chatty Cathy in the discussion threads or a sideline spectator. But one thing’s for sure, you’ve gotta be a member to learn the secret handshake and join the fun.
I will be coordinating all things book club for April and would love to see our membership continue to grow and flourish. To join us, click here. The graphic below is a sneak peek of the titles for April.

A bit blurry for ya? Then click here, to read the TBB post announcing the four great titles my book-reading buddies Mary, MaryJoy, Melanie and KellyAnn selected. And to see less blurry version of each books’ cover.
Have a blessed day. Hope if you are still experiencing winter, that spring is not far behind.
Hugs and kisses,

Can’t wait to hear how your mama’s bday celebration went! Clever little graphic making the books blurry! Look at you go!

Thank you. Have a bunch of stuff to share in the next week. Now to just get it all written and posted. Still missing you.

How does this book club work? Do you pick 1 of the 4 books or read whichever ones interest you? I usually finish 1-2 books a month, not 4 so I was just curious. I have read The Nightinggale, tho and LOVED it. Can’t wait to hear about your mom’s 90th. My dad had to have surgery today to put back in the stent they thought they could leave out. Such disappointing news! 🙁 Glad to hear your momma is doing so well, though! I loved seeing all your photos on IG AND FB about your trip!

Oh, Carrie! I am so sorry about your dad. Geez, one step forward, two steps back. Bless his heart. Hope this will be the last of his troubles for a long, long time. Please come join the book club. Each month we put together 4-6 titles. You can pick to read any of them…all of them, none of them. Toward the end of the month, we do a little discussion through an app called Slack. We talk about the characters, our feelings about the book. You can participate in any of the discussions whether you read the book during that month or sometime in the past. Of the four April titles, I have read The Nightingale, too, about a year ago. So I can participate in that discussion if I like, even if I didn’t read it for the book club. In fact, I could participate in the discussion whether I have read the book or not ever.
So, you can read as many or as few of the books as you like. You can skip the month if life gets crazy or none of the books appeal to you. I am reading The Silent Girls and though it isn’t my usual cup of tea, it is good. Of course, I like listening to books when I can because I can multitask, drive, iron etc. while “reading”.
Hope this helps. Hope you will join us. Oh, I would be thrilled.
Thank you so much for thinking of my mom. She looked great and seemed to enjoy our visit. The girls want to try to go again this summer. It is just so hard with little ones, though.
Working on a craft to hopefully share in your Creative Corner link-up tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Big hugs.
