Hey, dolls!
As you may or may not know, my PC has been sick for over a week.
Croupy sinus stuff that has recently settled into his chest has put a damper on his interest and energy to do our usual weekend running around and shopping. As a result, I have had to take matters into my own hands…enter shop Spring at www.shopspring.com, a one-stop shopping experience that features over 800 brands in one neat, little webpage or app with an edgy, boutique-y feel.

Best part about shopping Spring, is I could do it in my pjs right from bed as I nursed my Prince back to health. I decided to do a little window shopping until payday and put together a couple of looks using Polyvore to create my sets.
The first ensemble is something that I think every woman could wear easily.
Take a gander.
The #1 piece was the first I discovered and instantly fell in love with on the shop Spring site. A great, marled gray dress, described as an oversized, flossy wool (thus the sheep above) and cotton blend jumper.

Doesn’t it look divinely comfortable and warm, but oh-so stylish?
Even though we are shopping Spring, it is still winter in my neck of the woods. I love the longish, above-the-wrist length of these sleeves but thought I might still be chilly wearing this dress without some kind of warm wrap. I scoured the “racks” of coats and jackets, and found so many pretties but the colors of this #2, River Island blue block draped cape seemed to work so well with the jumper.
Well, it, too, jumped into my cart.
By now, PC was beyond counting sheep so I couldn’t get up out of bed for fear of waking him. Decided to shop for shoes, and tights and maybe a shiny little bauble or two. Elena tights, #3, Dandylion Tres lodge booties, #4. Mystical Earth Amulet pendant, #5.

At this point, PC rolled over in bed so I laid very still and played possum until he was snoring again. Then the shopping spree continued.
We have been invited to a couple of Super Bowl parties. And I don’t have a thing to wear. So I switched gears from dressy looks to something more casual.
Touch-down!
I discovered this FUN graphic Bow and Drape sweatshirt w/ gold sequins, #1 and made it the foundation for my football watching outfit.

Goal digger…get it? Goal post, kick a goal, you know, football?
There’s nothing like a great fitting pair of boyfriend jeans to provide casual chic while you are ‘kicking it’. Toss in some metallic snakeskin pumps, #3, a Cortina gold cuff, #4 and a fun football shaped bag by Belvah H. Bags, #5 and you are sure to score.

Now to begin the countdown til payday – Friday, so I can move these things out of my cart and into my closet.
If you are looking for that special little statement piece to build a memorable outfit around, encourage your PC to have an afternoon nap, and shop Spring.
Or download the app, here.

That way shop Spring is as close as your pocket or purse for those long commutes to work, soaks in the tub, or slow-TV evenings.
Wouldn’t want to wish the croup on your husband.
Hugs and kisses,

I want that sweatshirt soooo bad! Wish it would go on sale. 🙂 Then I could get PC to get it for me and I could pay him back after the shopping ban is over.
Sheila @ Sheila's Potpourri
Wait! Didn’t you join the shopping ban?? No fair tempting us with cute finds!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
LOL, sweet Sheila, I did join the ban. And I have been so good. But PC is feeling better and we have a long weekend together. I am fairly certain there will be at least some window shopping! How are you doing with the ban?
Sheila @ Sheila's Potpourri
I’m actually doing really well with the ban. Have only purchased one skirt for $11 but it was needed for work. So I consider it a “necessity.” Sheila DelCharco My blog: Making the Most of Every Day

I haven’t bought any clothes YET during the shopping ban. But Deena’s shirt could be the straw that broke the librarian’s back.

Hey, Lexie! Glad you stopped by. Will return the favor. I really liked the dress and might have to break my no-shopping ban to get it and the goal digger sweatshirt. Please come back again!

Ahhh!!! That Goal Digger shirt is HILARIOUS! Love it. I hope PC feels better. My poor daughter got another cold (this may be #11 since school started, seriously!) last night. It never ends around here!

Surely to goodness, Autumn is feeling better! PC is back to normal and I feel certain he will have me out and about all weekend. I am doing a 3 MONTH shopping ban, though, so I need to behave.

I hope your husband feels better! No fun being sick – but I am sure you are a wonderful caretaker. I love your shopping post – and the shift dress with the tights is fantastic! I wish I would get invited to a Super Bowl party (and have the Patriots in, again) – so I could get dressed up in my team’s colors (or gear) – I have the cutest Patriots tee – but never get a chance to wear it!

I am a Broncos fan because Peyton is my Tennessee homeboy, although I did live in Massachusetts for six years as a child. I prefer orange because I was also a Tennessee (Go Big Orange) Vol, too, Thank you, PC is feeling better. And we have 60 degree highs forecast for the weekend so I am sure we are going to be out and about. You are so sweet to say I would be a wonderful caretaker…he left me a sweet message thanking me for being a good nurse. That makes it all worthwhile. XO
