Today’s post is gonna be quick.
When I ride with my daughters as they drive fast and crazy, weaving and bobbing through the big city traffic of Houston and Dallas-Ft. Worth, they both tell me to hold on.
Brennyn says “hold onto your diapers, mom” as we thread our way through the streets of Dallas-Ft. Worth. I think she used to say that to my granddaughter, Cady, before potty-training days and it kinda stuck. I am not wearing diapers yet, but stay tuned.
Lauren says “hold onto your butts, mom” as we navigate our way around Houston. She doesn’t have children yet so tailored the expression to better reflect her life…not that she or I have butts plural either. But (pardon the pun), stay tuned…if I don’t start exercising more, I am well on my way to having BUTTS.
That being said, here we go, hold onto to your___________ (fill in the blank).
Here is my I Feel Pretty outfit.
I have admired navy and Kelly green together on lots of my Style Me Pretty Challenge buddies and on Pinterest pins, so today I tried my hand at the combo.
Here are the ingredients for my look:
- MAK Kelly green cardigan from StitchFix
- Target Merona blue and white gingham popover
- Target Merona pencil skirt
- Payless American Eagle shoes
- Charming Charlie’s crystal necklace and earrings
This is my first popover and I am sold.
It was so lightweight – perfect for year-round wear in El Paso and I wore the popover buttoned all the way up – something new for me. I usually unbutton the top button or two and wear my necklaces inside. Kind of like this twist.
My Kirkland’s skinny mirror really works. I look much longer and leaner in its reflection than I do in real life.
Just ask my husband Paul!
Here’s my PicCollage for this OOTD.
Heading out the door to work as a substitute librarian.
And feeling pretty.
Hugs and sticky kisses,
Sharon
You look beautiful friend and you’ve
never had a big bottom or been big! Hope we
never wear diapers again but if we do, just another thing to
add to our daily texts etc

LOL! Imagine us texting about our diapers. Hope the only diapers in our future are the ones our grandbabies are wearing. Hope you are enjoying your time in Key West. Would love to be there with you. XO

Thank you, Sheila. I was very sad to read that you were uncertain about whether or not to keep blogging. I hope you have decided to continue. I think it is therapeutic for ourselves and if we make more friends along the way, then that is icing on the cake. Thank you for coming by, sweet one.
