Dear ones, I have fallen so far behind on my blogging and blog reading and LIFE. I do not know how others balance life and blogging. Then throw in a family. A career or even a part-time job. Pets, household responsibilities, exercise, hobbies. I am clearly doing something wrong. Or everyone else signed up for the 30-hour day and I am stuck with a measly 24 hours. Cause I feel sure with 6 extra hours, I could tackle things nicely.

I was provided with some Vegamour products for the purpose of reviewing them for this post but all opinions and views expressed are my own. Thank you for your support!
Vegamour
A few months ago, the good folks at Vegamour invited me to try some of their hair and skin products. They gifted me the prettiest package of products (how ’bout all those Ps?) to try out and play with, in exchange for my honest review and evaluation of the product. And now I am sharing that review with you!
Included in my kit were the GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum, GRO Biotin Gummies for Hair, the GRO Hair Serum and Marula Oil. Aside from the obvious wrinkles that come with being 63 years old, I would say the beauty issues that concern me most are age spots and ridged, peeling nails. Oh, and dry cuticles. So, I was most excited to try the biotin gummies and the marula oil. The gummies because I was continuing to grow out my hair to its natural color. And the marula oil because it just sounded like great nutrition for everything…complexion, hair, body.
Marula Oil
Well, I absolutely love Vegamour’s pure marula oil. It is “extracted from the kernels of the marula tree fruit” and is a “clean, luxurious oil is naturally packed with antioxidants, omega fatty acids and oleic acid that deliver a wealth of beauty benefits” [source]. The oil can be applied to hair, nails and face. It glides on without feeling heavy or greasy. I have used it on my complexion and noticed a minimizing of my fine wrinkles around and under my eyes. My complexion is brighter and the freckles (which are actually age spots!!) are lighter. Have a look.
GRO Biotin Gummies
Have also been taking the GRO biotin gummies each morning for about 6 weeks. A little longer than I have been using the marula oil. For starters, they are delicious. Heart shaped. Sugar dusted. Pretty!! “These delicious vegan biotin hair gummies contain biotin and folic acid as well as vitamins B-5, 6 and 12 to help support your body’s production of keratin and collagen. Vitamins A, C and E work to neutralize follicle-damaging free radicals while zinc helps to promote and maintain scalp health” [source].
But aside from all of that, my nails are stronger. My hair and nails have grown faster. And the individual strands of hair seem thicker and fuller. The ridges in my nails are smoother and less noticeable. I haven’t had a free moment or the extra money for a manicure lately but hopefully I can indulge in one in the new year. In the meantime, just trimming my cuticles and buffing my nails has made them look cared for and healthy.
GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum
This product was the best surprise of all. Right before Christmas PC changed out the shower heads in our master bathroom. We in El Paso have to have the country’s hardest water!! Full of minerals and calcium that had clogged our shower heads to the point that the water was reduced to a mist. No matter what I use to try to remove the deposits, our heads remain stained and blocked. We couldn’t believe the force of the water with the new shower heads!! But I wonder how long it will be before they, too, are clogged.
In the midst of all of that, it occurred to me that I am washing my hair (and everything else) with that same hard water. Duh!! So I was excited to try Vegamour’s GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum. It is “formulated with a proprietary vegan silk protein that gently removes persistent scalp buildup & actively helps to soothe scalp damage while providing a semi-permeable barrier. GRO Scalp Detoxifying Serum locks in moisture and protects the scalp from harmful environmental pollutants” [source]. In our dry desert environment, I need all the help I can get with locking in moisture!!
Your Turn
Many of you may know that I have been in Ft. Worth with Brennyn and her family as she delivered my grandson Declan. We have experienced joy over the birth of our sweet boy but have also been worried about some health issues Brennyn encountered after her C-section. A bittersweet mix of happiness and stress. I am hoping to return home on Friday and get back to my wellness routine. Haven’t exercised, followed my skin care regimen or eaten very well.
But the new year is approaching and I can turn over a new leaf, right? Looking forward to getting back on track!!
Hope you will check out the terrific line of Vegamour products and take advantage of their 25% off discount just in time for the new year. Just use code NEW22. And don’t forget, all Vegamour products are clinically tested, 100% vegan, hormone and cruelty free.
Allow me to leave you with a photo of my darling grandson Declan Ashraf, 9 days old.
Thank you for spending a few minutes of your day with me!!
Hugs and kisses,
Terri Webster Schrandt
It’s so nice to “see” you, Leslie, and I’m glad your Christmas was spent with your family. Just so you know, blogging isn’t an easy process and does take time and energy. Why do you think I only do one post a week for Sunday Stills? Hosting a photo challenge is enough work, but quite fun and engaging, too. Thank you for introducing the Vegamour line; I can see it brought you great results! Your grandson is adorable and I send hugs and healing to your daughter! Best wishes for a fabulous start to your New Year!

So sweet to see Declan!
And I may have to try out some of these products. I rarely take gummies because there’s always some sugar additive, but I love the idea of the oil.
Our water is crazy like that too, and we bought a filter for the shower that makes such a difference. It’s nice when my skin isn’t so dry (along with my hair).
XOXO

Oh, Leslie! First of all, Declan is absolutely adorable. I continue to pray for him and his mama. Secondly, life is just so chaotic right now. You have been through it, my friend. I can really tell a difference in your skin in your pictures! I start things and always forget the before pictures! Oh, well!
Take care, my friend!

It is so true that having an extra 6 hours in the day would be so helpful. Life will always through us curveballs and keep us from doing many things we’d like to do. But the truth is you are right where you need to be at this moment, with your family who needs you. I do hope things turn around for your daughter very soon, and she is feeling herself again. Your grandson is an absolute doll!
I’m always excited to learn about new skincare products especially those that are “cleaner” than others. Thanks for sharing your review on this particular brand.
Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family. May it be a healthy 2022 for everyone!!
Deb
Little Declan is adorable and it’s going to be oh so hard to get on that plane to come home! You have all been through such a dreadfully scary time and I’m pleased that Brennyn is now home and can rest and recover while she has your extra pair of hands there to help.
I like the idea of more natural products and I had never heard of this company before so thank you for sharing your review.

I hoe Brennyn is doing really well at this point. Declan is a beautiful and healthy looking baby. Glad you were able to be there for them as exhausting as it has been.
Natasha
Thank you for sharing a picture of your adorable Declan. And I hope Brennyn’s health issues have passed or are easily resolved.
