Hello, sunshine! I have been away from blogging for much of May but missed writing and my friendships with other bloggers. Had thought my Sentence a Day post going live tomorrow would be my first post back. But then I realized today is the first day of this shiny new month. And time to remind everyone of the theme for June’s 10 on the 10th post.
Summer
With the new season approaching, we will be writing about the 10 best things about summer!! So pull out your thinking cap or straw beach hat, and put together your list. Then return here on Wednesday 06.10.2020 to link up your post with mine! Oh, and feel free to grab either or both of the graphics attached to this post to use in your own.
To get your creative juices following, peruse this list of the 12 best things about summer on Pastbook.com. Or look over this article by Elite.com outlining summer activities we need to be reminded of right now. Indulging in ice cream makes both lists! And – bonus – it is something most, if not all of us can do even during these uncertain days of restrictions. But keep in mind, the second post was written in 2018. It teases us with memories of the activities of summers past. Pre-Covid musical festivals. Meandering about the boardwalk. Hitting up the beach.
This summer is most likely going to be a little different. So, here’s where we will have to get clever in our planning and blog writing. I hope you are up for the challenge!
Your Turn
While you are working on your 10 on the 10th post, might as well put together your summer bucket list. Then make plans to reveal it when I reveal mine on 06.21.2020. Will also be updating progress on my spring bucket list that same day. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Thanks for hangin’ in with me! So grateful to all of you who are still following along with my retirement adventures. The good, the bad and the ugly!
Off to attack a mound of ironing. Then planning to cool off with a dip in the pool. Wanna come?
Hugs and kisses,
Erica/Erika
Yes, a shiny new month, Leslie. Yay! Lots of possibility. Did I see Ice cream mentioned? I had my first Blizzard a couple of weeks ago. Summer is on the way. Welcome back!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. My few weeks away helped me clear my head and heal my heart.
So what flavor Blizzard did you indulge in? I have been on a Wonder Woman cookie dough kick. They are delicious.
Erica/Erika
Never heard about Wonder Woman cookie dough. Possibly south of our border? Me, peanut butter cups. Decadent. Love how you have cleared your head and healed your heart! All creates a ripple effect. Thank you! xx
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I will try peanut butter cups next time in your honor!!
Joanne
Welcome back! I’ve got my 10 on the 10th post all ready to go. (Well, mostly finished anyway; I do want to add some photos still)
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, friend. I am glad to be back and hope that the few weeks away will help me stay saner in the coming weeks ahead.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Yay!! So glad you are doing these 10 on the 10th posts with me.
Dara
I love the images you make for these link ups!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you so much!! I appreciate that. Figured no one really paid attention to them. So nice to learn differently.

Sounds fun, and speaking of prompts, my short story prompt link party is open until the 9th 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I finally, finally got a short story written!! Now to do it again…and again!! Thank you, Dee.

YES! It helps to greatly exercise our brains 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
That’s an optional theme for Wellness Weekend this month. Strengthening our brains. Mine has deteriorated to mush recently. Need to
start doing something to improve things.

Cooling off in a pool right now sounds heavenly! Wish we had one. Thanks for the link-up reminder!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you for stopping by. As crazy as it sounds, our temps last week were too HOT for the pool!! I have ordered a long sleeve swim shirt so that on those unbearably hot, bright days I can still swim without worrying about burning to a crisp.
