Welcome to Sentence a Day 10.2020 – my October in one run-on sentence a day. I use this monthly post as a kind of bullet journal. Many times, I go back to see what we did when. I have bought a real, true journal to start using, too, where I can write more than one sentence a day, if I like.
If you haven’t joined us for this link-up, would like to invite you to try participating. It’s not too late to begin with us in November. And if you are interested, let me know in a comment below and I will add you to our email group. Of course, if you don’t blog, you can still participate on paper or on your favorite device. Then come back to share the highlights of your November in a comment on my 12.01.2020 SaD post.
The SaD posts originated with Rebecca at Knit by God’s Hand. Hope you will run by to check out her post and the posts of some of the others linking up. Hoping we continue this series into the new year. It is one of my faves.

YOUR TURN
Are things about back to normal in your community? We have gone backward with a record breaking number of cases, hospitalizations, patients in ICU and on ventilators. So worrisome. Wondering now how Thanksgiving and Christmas will look after Halloween was canceled.
If you have a month-in-review or SaD post, please link-up with us!! Then show some of the other gals some love by stopping to say hi!
I am finishing up this post on Sunday to go live on Tuesday. Will have my surgery on Tuesday morning and should be home late that afternoon. I appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers you have showered me with. Thank you so much.
Hugs and kisses,
Natasha
Our premier closed a few businesses in our province’s hot spots but our region is pretty much the same. However, we are being encouraged not to interact closely with anyone outside our households. We took our kids trick or treating at local businesses who were handing out candy as opposed to our neighbours. We knew that businesses wouldn’t be allowing sick people to come to work so it felt safer to us. I really think it’s going to be a very quiet winter but as long as the schools stay open, we will be okay. We already had our Thanksgiving and yeah, again, it was quiet.
I’m so sorry that your October has been so filled with health issues. I hope November includes better health and more grandkid snuggles.
Mary
Whew, what a month for you, Leslie! Hoping your surgery went well today. Sending you healing thoughts.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you for the healing thoughts!! I am on my way to recovery.
Joanne
If I read through all this correctly you have surgery today; right?! I hope all goes well. Seems like you all had a busy month of doctors appointments and health scares. I’m sure it was a relief to both you and Lauren to rule out cancer.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
So thankful to have the surgery behind me. And feeling better already.
Joanne Long
It sounds like a really stressful month! I hope your surgery goes well. Our Covid numbers spiked over the weekend. We are being very careful because my mum needs surgery this month. Take care!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hope Covid won’t interfere with your mum’s surgery. I am thankful I was able to get my surgery out of the way because I feel pretty certain elective surgeries are going by way of the Dodo around here.
Natalie
Leslie, I hope your surgery went well today and November is a much kinder month for you and your family. Love the photo of you, PC and your grands at the pumpkin patch. #sentenceaday
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Natalie. We had a good time at the pumpkin patch, even if it was short-lived.
Rebecca Jo Vincent
We are definitely in a worrying time. All teh numbers going up & it seems so many dont care.
What’s an osteopath? I’m gonna have to look that up.
I LOATHEEEEE when I have to spend HOURSSS at a doctor’s office. That’s messed up. Especially in a pandemic!
Lifting prayers for you today!!!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you for the prayers, my friend. I can feel them holding us up!!
Paul’s osteopath is kind of like a chiropractor, I think. Looked it up so I would know the difference.
Chiropractors tend to be specifically focussed on treating muscle and joint pains, with a focus on adjustments to the vertebrae of the spine. Osteopaths aim to treat the body as a whole, looking at the structure of the body and the interdependence throughout the body.
There you go!!
Karen
Our community had an outbreak in Covid this month. Went from 3 cases to over 50. School was out for about 1 1/2 week then back to normal. Got more trick-or-treaters then usual. Had some coworkers said they did not hand out candy this year. As I read your post, your surgery is over & you are home. Sounds like a painful tooth. I had one like that & ended up having to have 2 extracted. Looks like fun at the pumpkin patch.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, no…my dentist mentioned it might take extracting 2 teeth to get to the ‘root’ of the problem. Yikes.
Can’t believe you guys had so many trick-or-treaters. It was ‘forbidden’ here and we didn’t have a soul
ring the doorbell.
Debbie Harris
Leslie, it sounds very worrying on lots of fronts. Well done for writing anything at all, with all you’ve been going through! I hope you’re enjoying Schitts Creek, I’ve just finished the whole show (all the series) and am now feeling bereft!! It’s been such a great distraction for me as my husband has been away more than at home lately, due to looking after his mother. I do hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly. Your grand-girls are simply adorable, you are an amazing grandma. All the best for a better month ahead. xx
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you for the sweet words. Hope your MIL is doing better and your husband is able to be home more. Schitt’s Creek has been a good distraction. And now we are watching The Spanish Princess, also a good distraction except I am dreaming about her!!
Kellyann Rohr
Oh goodness sweet Leslie, what a month! I am so sorry you had so much going on. Thank goodness your surgery is over and that Lauren’s blood cancer test was negative! Early morning phone calls scare me too – ugh, my heart skips a beat when it happens. Crazy weather for y’all with that dusting of snow. I am hoping for a better November for everyone, you need it my friend. Prayers to you!!!
xo,
Kellyann
P.S. what’s with the bank and the crazy fees? Who can keep $2500 in checking???
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you!! If I keep $2500 in checking, it won’t be there long!! Ha. Too many pretty clothes to be bought.
We have been blessed that our lab results have been negative for cancer. Got the results of my biopsy today and it
was benign. We can deal with health problems all day long when they aren’t life-threatening.
Danielle
Those babes are so cute! I hope that your surgery went well yesterday. Praying for a speedy recovery.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, feeling better already!!
Lysha
So many ups and downs this last month. I hope November is much calmer for you.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you!! So far, so good.
Donna Connolly
Sending warm, healing thoughts your way!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. You send the best hugs and warm thoughts!!
Deb
You can certainly never predict how a month is going to go can you? What a lot of twists and turns. So relieved for you that your daughter’s tests were reassuring and pleased that you have now had your surgery and will hopefully soon be fully recovered and feeling better.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Life is certainly throwing us some curve balls. I would love to believe that come 01.01.2021, things will be back to normal but the closer we get to the end of the year, the less likely that seems.
Gail
Glad to see on FB that your surgery went well. Hopefully you will feel better soon. Busy month again! You’re looking very trim in your jeans. We are back in lockdown so my 60th birthday tomorrow will be a bit quieter than originally planned!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hate that this virus and lockdown interfered with your birthday plans. Hope there was cake and ice cream in your day!
