Hello long, lost friends!
Welcome to Sentence a Day, 05.2019. Have about given up blogging because of the IRRITATING security warning on my blog when accessed through Chrome. Have contacted my web host, WordPress, and had some wonderful suggestions from some of you about trying to fix things but it seems my issue stems from links embedded in my website that lead to another website that has been shut down. No one, yet, has been able to help me. I promise my site has not been hacked nor will you be tricked into giving me your personal information or credit card numbers. Have a feeling my June sentences may read a whole lot the same until this issue is resolved.
On these Sentence a Day posts, my life is chronicled in one run-on sentence a day. So thankful to have discovered Rebecca Jo at Knit by God’s Hand through our mutual friend Sarah at Foxy’s Domestic Side and this series.
Have struggled to write my sentences much of this year. Didn’t get started on May until, 05.05.2019. So almost a week late. Off to a better start for June.

Dang! Is there any way to remove those embedded links? It’s probably the first thing you tried. How frustrating! I wouldn’t even begin to know how to fix it. I will ask my techy hubby and see if he knows.

Thank you for the prayers for Lauren and her babe. He or she is hanging in there. She will be in her ninth week on Thursday. Anxious for her to get beyond the first trimester. Baby’s heart seems strong so all the prayers and good thoughts are working. Thank you so much!

Man, you have had a jam packed month with a rollercoaster of emotions! Ahh, so sorry about what the judge said about the pool. Those street tacos look good. Kudos to running that entire 5k! I wonder how I’d do with a 5k now that I only run maybe 1.5 miles tops at a time! Ha! I am glad you’re having some family time. Your mom, bless her heart! I hope she finds some better days soon, caring for aging parents is so hard! My dad has been doing ok lately, but his mind hasn’t been the best lately. 🙁 My mom has been noticing some things! So hard! I agree, normal days where you just do your normal routine can sometimes be so peaceful! I’ve been doing the gratitude journal you sent me everyday this week with my devotional! Thank you, sweet friend! 🙂

So glad you have enjoyed the gratitude journal. I treasure those days when I can think of so many things to be grateful for that I have to write in the margin!! I am so sorry to hear about your dad. You mentioned in the spring that he was going to need another surgery. Has he had it yet? With all of mom’s recent health issues, we are so fortunate that she hasn’t had to undergo surgery. She believes that at her age, people who have surgery never come back from it completely. She sees it in her friends, they lose some of the memory or sharpness.
I am sure you could knock out a 5K easily. I rarely run 3 miles but when I sign up for a 5k, I manage to be able to do it. Having a whole lot of trouble with my leg right now so it hurts to run but still doing it on the treadmill at the gym.

Leslie, I admire your energy and pluckiness through thick and thin as you describe May! So many positives to outweigh the negatives. Glad your mom is being taken care of, that must be a relief. I visited my mom in San Diego on June 1 and she has regressed mentally since Christmas. I hope you get things sorted out with WordPress, many folks on dot com are having pingback issues. As you know I am taking a two-week break from Sunday Stills and the blog while I recover from bunion surgery. I discovered crutches are horrible so I ordered a knee scooter that hubby is putting together this very minute. I’m happy you are spending time with your daughter and grandbaby. My daughter drives up here from San Diego tomorrow to help me out for a couple of weeks during my recovery. Take care and talk soon, dear Leslie!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, I like that word pluckiness!!! Thank you for that compliment. I am so sorry you have noticed a decline in your mother. When we live away from our elderly parents there can be such changes from one visit to the next. Kind of like the changes in our grandbabies when they grow so quickly in our absence.
Hope your daughter has pampered you during her visit. I like the looks of your scooter and glad that it has enabled you to be more independent and mobile while you recover.
Deb
Well the good news is that I had no error message reading your blog 🙂
You certainly do have emotion packed months – bet you can’t wait to have your daughter move closer to you! I do hope that Lauren’s next ultrasound brings good news, you must all be so anxious.
After worrying times, doesn’t normal feel great? Just doing ordinary things is a great leveller. Take care x
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Deb, for hanging in with me through red warning messages and all. Lauren is almost 9 weeks pregnant and heard the baby’s heartbeat again today, so all continues to be well. Lauren is having heart problems, which she had with Lucia, so is wearing a halter monitor for 48 hours so they can try to figure out to help her. I was up in ABQ with her this past weekend because she had begun spotting but that subsided, too. So we are hopeful that she is going to make it out of the woods of this scary first trimester. You are so right about doing ordinary things…how wonderful it feels to just be home and to do my regular morning routine. I love routine.

You’ve been busy, busy…as always 🙂 Love the pics of your grandbaby! I’m visiting from Edge not Chrome 🙁
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Dee, for sticking with me through red warning messages and various browsers. You are a sweetie. Thank you for the compliments about my Lucia. She is one of the brightest lights in my life.
