Good morning, good evening, good night, my friends. Thanks for joining me for Sentence a Day 03.2025 – a long-winded review of March, and the first month of spring, coming to you in one run-on sentence a day. My former English teachers would be mortified with my liberal use of the semicolon and colon!!
Before We Jump In
As I have always said, I write these sentences for me. As a way of keeping track of what all has happened and when. I know this is really a lot of gibberish. A bunch of stuff I really don’t expect anyone to wade through!! But it helps me to reflect on each day, and record the important things so I can keep them straight, if not in my mind, on ‘paper’ at least. Would never dream that anyone would read this bunch of hooey word for word!!

Sentence a Day & LMNOP
Every month I try very hard to get my SaD post together once the month is over, in order to make the What’s Been on Your Calendar?- WBOYC – link-up with Deb at Deb’s World, Sue who blogs at Women Living Well After 50, Donna from Retirement Reflections and Jo who can be found at And Anyways. The link-up opens on the last Friday of each month and is only open a few days. So I am not always successful in joining the gals. Hope to link up this post with for Jennifer’s Thankful Thursday series over at Overflowing with Thankfulness, too. My OGT after each sentence is ‘one good thing’ – something I am especially thankful for. Also try to incorporate thoughts and experiences around my WOTY = word of the year into my SaD posts. And when I have had occasion to get dressed for the day, I like to share a few OOTDs = outfits of the day. That’s a lot of ABCs and LMNOPs.
Sentence a Day 03.2025

1 Second Each Day
Here’s a quick video review of my March. Not a bad month at all.
OOTDs
Ha!! When I went back through my photos, I only found pictures of 2 outfits that weren’t gym clothes. YIKES!! I did enjoy wearing my spring sweatshirts and my Old Navy balloon jeans this month. But the rest of the time I guess I was in sweats!!

2025 Word of the Year (WOTY)
My word of the year is nurture. And I originally planned to try to nurture a little better those I love most. But somewhere early in the year, I realized that in order for me to love others better, I need to love myself better first.
Enter my friend Christie who blogs at So What? Now What?. In February, Christie wrote about becoming a health coach. She received her mindbodygreen Health Coach Certification, and was beginning to work earning NBHWC board certification. In order to gain hours of the practical coaching experience required for board certification, Christie offered free online health coaching to a limited number of clients. I signed up right away!! Figured this was a great way to nurture myself, or to get a little nurturing for me.
I had no idea how much these 30-minute sessions would help to improve my outlook on day-to-day life. The focus of our conversations has been helping me to build-in more ME time into my days. And to find a way to gently suggest to my now retired PC that I need some alone time now and then.
One of the things I am concentrating on over the 2 weeks until our next session is identifying 2-3 things that need to be done each day and doing those. Rather than having this huge list of t0-dos for the week and just working all day every day to try to cross off as many activities as I can. When I get those 2-3 tasks accomplished, I can play or do something for myself. Scrapbook, read, nap, paint my nails. And now I have a bit of fun packed into each day. This has worked well for me. I didn’t get all bent out of shape about cleaning and cooking for Brennyn’s visit, or the couple of times the girls have come to play. I feel so much less stressed!!
Your Turn
Was your March a thumbs up or a thumbs down or somewhere in between? I am grateful for the good month we had and hope it is one of many more to come in 2025.
Subbing for kindergarten today. Whew!! Should have eaten my Wheaties. Hope whatever you are up to this week, you find a little ME time (YOU time) to do the things you like doing best. Thank you for poppin’ round!!
Hugs and kisses,

I always enjoy your recaps! Are you taking the semaglutide for weight loss? I’ve heard about some of the side effects. I would love to try it but at this point, I’m still not sure. It sounds like you had lots of great family time in March!!
Hi my friend!! My daughters are both taking the semaglutide injections. One daughter has a number of serious health issues and her doctor prescribed it after she struggled so to lose weight after the birth of her second child. She is just on a maintenance dose now. My other daughter has always had weight issues since the birth of her daughter 14 years ago. Now she is having circulation issues in her legs. The doctor prescribed it for her. It has quieted what she calls ‘food noise’ where she thinks about food all the time. I am hopeful she can get to a healthier weight and then maintain on her own.
My doctor gave me a sample of semaglutide after I complained about not being able to lose the weight I have put on after this dumb broken foot. I have only taken a month’s worth of injections. The biggest side effect for me is just feeling a little queasy which keeps me from eating as much as I normally would. I would consult your doctor and maybe you could get just a sample to see how it works for you. I am tracking my Weight Watcher points and exercising much more again but still dealing with this foot. Just hope to lose another couple of pounds and then keep it off.
Oh, we had such a good time with all the family under one roof. Looking forward to going to Ft. Worth this summer to be with my oldest daughter’s sweet family again.
Lisa, I do not know how I lost track of your blog but I did. Did you take a blogging break? Or maybe I lost your blog when I switched to Feedly in order to keep track of the blogs I follow. I have followed you for years but somehow didn’t associate you with your blog. Anyway, I am back to reading and commenting and will be a regular visitor again.
All the love you have for your family just pours out of your writing, Leslie! They are all so lovely! How wonderful it is to have everyone under one roof, right? I remember those days of leaving early so tears wouldn’t flow as much (they still did). You are really working hard on your fitness. I really need to find a gym and make a commitment to that. Did I miss something? Are you diabetic? I was thrilled to see your foot in a pretty shoe! I’m glad March was a good month for you and your family!

Thank you so much, dearest friend. I do love my fam.
I am not diabetic but with my broken foot, I have struggled to lose the weight I have gained from my inability to workout and walk, for awhile. My daughters are both doing the semaglutide injections. Both were given the medication by their doctors. I decided to ask my doctor for just a month’s worth and she gave me sample to try. It has helped me begin to lose weight again, although I am also tracking my Weight Watchers points, too. And exercising again!! Just glad to be feeling more like me.
I’ve always wanted to go to Arizona for spring training! It sounds like you had a great time despite the sketchy Airbnb! How fun that you scrapbook with your sister! When my sister lived here and our kids were younger, she would host scrapbooking parties. I haven’t created a scrapbook page since my daughter was in first grade (she’s 24 now), and I feel like it’s now too daunting to start again. I’m sorry you had tech issues with your blog and hope it wasn’t too costly to fix. Love your granddaughter’s hot air balloon!

Thank you for this sweet comment. Scrapbooking is going the way of the dodo I am afraid. It is getting harder and harder to find supplies. But I think as long we can find scrapbook paper, we will continue. I bet you and your sister enjoyed scrapbooking together, too.
You guys need to go to spring training one year. The weather is grand and the scenery is so pretty. There are lots of Air BnB (less sketchy than ours!!), too. Put it on your bucket list.
What a month! You did so much. I bet you were pleased to vacate that Air Bnb! Did you leave them a review 😉
Lovely to see how often you got to see your grandchildren this month, that’s a good way to put a smile on your face!
When we went back to read the description of the Air BnB, it promised a room with a comfortable bed. Which it delivered. They told us upfront that we would share a bathroom but PC didn’t read that in the fine print. The place was not terribly clean, there was no lovely breakfast as pictured so we dinged them on that. The host was as high as a kite on marijuana and it was wafting out of the garage when we drove up but turns out pot is legal in Arizona. Ha!! So, lesson learned, we need to read more closely!!
You are right, being with the grandbabies is always smile inducing. I think you are minding your grands this week. Hope you get some rest!!
Spring training is the best! Now that we’ve done all the Florida stadiums, I’m ready to see the Arizona ones.
We love spring training, too. But have only gone out to Goodyear, AZ because the only team in the world – in PC’s eyes – is the Cincinnati Reds.
Glad you could laugh at the situation at the AirBNB; I would not have been able to at all. It sounds like you had such a wonderful visit with the whole family. You must be getting so excited for your cruise!
I am getting so excited about the cruise. Can’t find any good Alaskan cruise scrapbook supplies, though!!
Love all your scrapbook pages and that hot balloon costume is adorable.
The dust storm does not sound good nor does the upset stomach.
Looks like you had a pretty good March. Here’s to an even better April.
Thank you, my friend. April has been interesting. But the dust and wind have settled, thank goodness. And this week we are anticipating afternoon highs in the 90s!
You are always so busy I can’t keep up with you. My sentence a day would mostly be the same: wake up, spend time on the computer, do the dishes, blah, blah, blah. I still haven’t finished Yellowstone. I need to get to that.
The end of Yellowstone was disappointing. We are back to watching “1923” now. And “Doc.”
This month I am trying to slow down on some of the busyness. I am letting things go around the house a little more. Just have to finish the spring cleaning before summer!!
