Hey Dolls!
It’s been a couple of months since we talked goals. You might be thinking that I have given up on the whole creating-a-better-me business but I am happy to report that isn’t the case. In fact, during the month of February, I participated in the Rediscover Me 28 Day Challenge with Alison Lumbatis at Get Your Pretty On.
It has been an intense four weeks of introspection and redirection. And I have loved every minute.
You might remember that I had started setting goals early this fall. I had identified areas in my life where I wanted to effect change or growth and had started working toward accomplishing that. You can read more about my early goal-setting here, here and here.
I felt like I was making good progress on my own. Drinking 48+ounces of water, having daily devotional time, writing on an (almost) daily basis. And my favorite goal, doing something special for ME once a week. Strangely enough, I found that one quite easy to realize. Hmmm, wonder why?
Then I heard about Alison’s Rediscover Me 28 Day Challenge. It seemed to be exactly what I needed to complete my goal setting process, to tie up some of the loose ends, and to develop a map for the new direction of my life in retirement.
I couldn’t register fast enough.
And this challenge has been life-changing, life-enriching and renewing. The puzzle of my life is coming together after a year of feeling like some of the pieces were missing.
Fittingly, I will officially finish the challenge on Saturday, February 28. But I fully plan to take all that I have learned and experienced into the weeks and months that follow. As my life in retirement evolves, I will apply these great tools to setting and realizing goals and my continued work toward being my best ME.
Join me on Sunday, March 1, for the grand unveiling of my new improved goals. And I will share some of what I have learned over the last four weeks.
Hugs and chocolate kisses,

That’s great Leslie! I love was wondering what that challenge has been like. I’m curious to hear!

Sheila, it was wonderful. If Alison makes it available like she has the PDFs of the fashion challenges, once the challenges are over, I would recommend signing up to get the handouts and to be able to view the videos, etc. Some of us are going to be doing this challenge again starting the first part of March and I am super excited!
Sarah C
I can’t wait to hear about it all! Good job friend!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Sarah. I really got so much out of this challenge. If I was working full-time, it might have been more difficult to allot the 20-30 minutes a day to completing each day’s challenge activity but Alison told us to work at our own pace and to not panic if we fell behind a little. Can’t wait to start all over again on Sunday!
Deena
I, too, was curious how this challenge was going. Can’t wait to hear more.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, Deena, it has been so good for me. I think it was exactly what I needed at this time in my life to develop my focus and my direction. Several of our Style Me blogger buds are doing it. I would love to hear what they think. Michelle Sherrard, Michelle Thevenot and Joy Cochran. I will see if they can post a review on their blogs so you hear from someone other than just me.
Lana
I’m so excited for your reveal. I really debated whether or not to sign up for this one, but in the end I felt like I didn’t have enough time this month. Can’t wait to see your new goals!

Good news, gals! Alison is going to do this challenge again in a few months. I will share a little about it and then maybe you guys can join in the fun next go-round!
