Hello, Fashionistas!
Guess who has worked all five days this week?
Oh, yeah!
This RETIRED librarian.
And guess what else?
I worked in a library all five days this week. Two different libraries, in fact. On Monday, I subbed for Beverly at Dr. Green Elementary and Tuesday through Friday, I subbed in a vacant library position at Rosa Guerrero Elementary. I was in pig heaven.

Our crazy summer temps continue and we have been up close to 100 degrees again this week. Not letting that stop me, though. I am cranking up that evaporative cooler and piling on the fall clothes. This weekend we are supposed to have rain with a high of 79 on Sunday. Maybe the eternal summer is about over.
So what did I wear this week?
Nice of you to ask.
Rather than just tell you, let me show you!
Meow!
On Monday, I wore a persimmony (not to be confused with Purrsimmony, my kitty) orange, corduroy shirt dress. Truth be told, I am certain there was a tuft or two of Purrsimmony and Purrsnickitty on me somewhere. I just consider it an accessory…statement necklace, big watch, leopard shoes, kitty fur.
Photos brought to you from my faculty bathroom tour of the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) schools where I am subbing. This is Dr. Green Elementary.
Dress from the Ft. Bliss PX, Walmart leopard scarf, DSW leopard shoes, Charming Charlie’s big watch and tortoise shell earrings.
Tuesday, I continued the persimmon color scheme in another EPISD faculty bathroom setting.
I guess these first pics are here at my house. But not pleased with the look of my neck in these pictures, darn cervical spine surgery and 57 birthdays, I tried again at school.
My neck followed me to school.
Loft Outlet brown jeans and striped tee, Target boyfriend cardigan, gifted scarf from my friends Suzie and Davette, Charming Charlie’s big watch, Payless brown booties. Turquoise earrings from PC.
Wednesday, I was back in the Guerrero school faculty bathroom and in my car driving across the mountain to the Guerrero school faculty bathroom.
Someone walked in one me in the restroom just as I snapped the first picture above. Scared me to death. I am sure they wondered a little about this substitute librarian! Couldn’t think how to explain why I was taking a picture of myself in the bathroom.
And there’s that neck again.
Burgundy jeans from Loft Outlet, Polo Factory Outlet plaid shirt, Target mustard colored boyfriend cardi, Kohl’s statement necklace and earrings, and my watch? Yup, Charming Chuck’s.
Thursday I must have been naked at Guerrero Elementary School because I didn’t take a picture of what I was wearing. Well, that’s not exactly true. I did snap this picture but wasn’t going for a photo of my outfit exactly.
I chose that day to wear Loft black jeans and Guess black flats with a Target boat-neck, 3/4 length sleeve, striped tee in mint and navy. Or mint and black. Never have been quite sure which.
I was applying the Kon-Mari method of tidying up to my organization of approximately 1,000,000 bookmarks.
Touched each one to see if it brought me joy before deciding whether to keep or ditch.
Today, I hosted doughnuts and coffee in the Guerrero library in hopes of enticing teachers and staff to come in, sign up for library check out next week and avail themselves of the opportunity to pick up any number of dusty copies of The Witch of Blackbird Pond or Julie of the Wolves.
I decided that such an event warranted a dressed up casual Friday look. Somewhere in my blog reading, I came across a post featuring a gray tee with a black blazer and jeans. I loved it! But I can’t remember where I saw it, so if it was on YOU, thank you. You rocked it. I just can’t see your face when I think back on how great you looked.
This time I am coming to you from my own bathroom. How ’bout that mani, huh? Nothing like shamelessly showing it off! Really like this outfit on whomever wore it first and on me, too! Black blazer from New York and Company, scratch that, I checked and it is Dress Barn, Express gray tee, skinny jeans from Loft, Payless booties, Charming Charlie’s pearls.
And that’s a wrap from My Fashion Haus to yours.
Before I stumble up to bed after a very busy week, please allow me to brag a little.
Guess which 57 year-old, retired librarian-current library substitute with a cervical spine scar the size of Texas linked up with Jennie at A Pocketful of Polka Dots last Friday then proceeded to have her own picture clicked more than any other blogger who linked up?
Moi!
Crazy, huh?
Think everyone was just clicking to get a closer look at my scar? Whatever the case, I will take it! Thank you, Jennie, for featuring me on your blog. You too can check out my neck here.
Have a restful weekend, friends. Thank you so much for coming by. Please leave me a comment with what you are wearing as we transition (or don’t) into fall.
Hugs and kisses,
Morgan
Due to my library having a “swamp cooler”, I’ve still been wearing dresses, khaki capris and a few maxi dresses thrown in. Love all the outfits!
Sharon
Crack me up taking pics in the school bathroom friend! You and I have had quite a few laughs in bathrooms over the years! 🙈

Can we talk about those leopard heels?!!!!!!! HOT!! I love them. Seriously, I don’t ever remember having a teacher or librarian that dressed even remotely as well as you do. The kids will be coming to you for fashion advice

Haha! I HATE when people walk in when I am taking bathroom selfies. How DARE they! I SAW that you had the most clicked photo on her link up and I was excited for you! You rock! Yay for all of the sub jobs, too. Make sure you still have time to relax and do your tidying up! ha! I have been emptying the contents out of my purse every day and it makes SUCH a difference. That is all I have done so far… Happy weekend!

Wow, we think alike in many ways. I clean out the receipts and junk from my purse when I am sitting in traffic. I can’t stand having that stuff floating around in there. I want to write about the tidying up book. I am applying some of her ideas to my subbing in the library. Helps me to be objective.

I am so glad to be subbing in a library again. And in a place where I can accomplish some good work, I think. Wore my leopard heels to school but started thinking maybe I am too old to be wearing such high heels. But going to wear ’em anyway! Felt really comfy in my gray tee and blazer. Thank you for your sweet compliments.
Jennie
