Fashionistas and Friends,
Hard to believe that I am writing a second post from my fashion haus this week. Today I am excited to share 3 lovely items I was provided to review in a collaboration with Ethyl clothing. I worked with the good folks at Ethyl once before and in that post, I reviewed their Mabel-Jennifer denim jacket and the Addyson-Amber leggings. Both pieces got lots of wear last fall and winter.
When I was invited to select 2 items from Ethyl’s online collection for today’s post, I knew I wanted something for summer. Come see what I picked out and the bonus piece I received to complete my look.
Ethyl Clothing for Summer
Ethyl clothing is comfortable, stylish and a perfect fit with their fabulous vanity sizing…which I LOVE! So proud to be wearing a 6 in Ethyl’s clothing. You can call me vain all day long! I want to keep that size tag on for all the world to see.
The Kathleen – Elainna Jeans
These flattering, pull-on jeans were the first piece I selected. The lace and floral applique is what originally caught my eye. Such feminine details. I could hardly wait for them to arrive. And when they did, I found these jeans were even more beautiful in real life.
The Kathleen-Elainna is a skinny jean with a trendy 28″ cropped flare hemline. The denim is a super soft cotton blend with just enough give to make them extremely comfortable without sacrificing shape. They are described online as hot weather friendly. With our 15th day of triple digit temps today, a no end in sight, I will be putting that to the test!
The Eloise – Delage Crocheted Cardigan
This cardigan was the second piece I selected. Was thinking I would pair it with a pink tee underneath and the appliqued jeans. Beautifully made and the perfect wrap for hot air conditioned days and cool desert nights in El Paso. The Eloise-Delage is soft and lightweight, and also described as hot weather friendly. I appreciate the 3/4-length bell sleeves so I am not dragging the cuffs all over everything and getting them dirty! And love the bootie-covering overall length of the sweater.
Surprise Piece – The Joelle – Maia Top
The sweet folks at Ethyl surprised me with a third piece for my review. The Joelle-Maia pullover top. The perfect piece to complete my outfit!! How did they know?
This top is so pretty. Feminine, light, featuring burn-out roses on a sheer top layer over a solid pink tank top with a rounded shirttail hem. On the back, the sheer top layer is split revealing more of the tank underneath.
For my flat layouts, I added a pair of suede ballet flats with ankle straps and a pendant necklace given to me by my baby sister Valerie.
I felt so feminine, so fancy in this outfit. Took lots of pics with my DSL using my phone as a remote. And plan on wearing it for our anniversary date this weekend.
The applique in on the right side of the jeans. The other side features some subtle distressing. Just makes this mimi/gabba look more on trend!
I think my grandbabies are going to love these jeans, too!! We all appreciate a little bling.
You might remember that my daughters are half Panamanian. We lived in Panama for 6 years and Lauren was born there. The traditional Panamanian dress is called a pollera and the women adorn their hair with tembleques, combs bedazzled with sprays of filigreed flowers made of pearls, sea shells or coral. This gorgeous applique reminds me so much of these elaborate combs.
Check out the great length of this cardi.
And an up close photo of the top. Told ya I took a lot of pics!
When I did my try on, I had forgotten that I originally set out my ballet flats with this outfit. Instead, for the pictures, I wore some wedges from DSW.
One last parting shot. I love this outfit!!
So you know how Walmart has their school supplies out (and Hobby Lobby has their Christmas decorations out) already? Well, Ethyl clothing is beginning to transition in their fall clothing. Just since I visited their online store last, they’ve added sweaters and winter weight cardis. And some great leggings. Whether you are looking for warm or cool weather fashion, Ethyl has something for you.
Have you begun shopping for fall yet? Or are you till in the market for a few new warm weather pieces? It’s certainly too toasty here to think about sweaters quite yet. But fall is my favorite season so the temps just need to dip below 90* and I will be ready!!
PC and I are celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary this weekend. We dated for 5 years before saying ‘I do.’ And then when we finally did, we said it twice. Once at the Justice of Peace with my daughters and Lauren’s now husband Francisco, on 07.11.2008. And then again in a blessing ceremony for our home and marriage, 09.28.2008. I asked my Prince to take a vacation day tomorrow so we could celebrate. He said YES!
Enjoy your weekend, friends. Thank you, Ethyl clothing, for the opportunity to review these lovely stylish pieces, with their flattering, comfortable fit.
Hugs and kisses,
