Sweet friends, for the #write28days challenge, blogger and series host, Anita Ojeda, is sending out prompts that participants may choose to write on. The prompt for yesterday, the first day of the challenge, was longing. You can read Anita’s post for the word, here.
True to form, I am a day late and a dollar short with my post for the word. Hadn’t really planned to write on the prompts but this one spoke to me.
Longing
While I have lots of things to write about over the next 28 days and hopefully beyond, tonight, before the day comes to an end, I just want to go on record as saying I am longing for a quiet tomorrow. Tomorrow as in the day following today. But also tomorrow in a broader sense as a term for the future.
As I type, our little corner of the world is being softly blanketed in snow. And the forecast is for enough of the powdery white fluff that school has been canceled for tomorrow.
I am longing to sleep late…to enjoy the hush of the falling snow while curled under the covers. To awake to beautifulyl frosted world that is peaceful in the way only snow can make things.
As I put this day to rest, this is how my world looks now. Can’t wait to see how lovely it looks tomorrow.
Wishing you peace in your world tomorrow.
Hugs and kisses,
Deb
I can’t believe you’ve had snow before us! It always looks so pretty the first day that it settles. Very pretty!

Wow, it doesn’t usually snow there does it? We had a snow day yesterday and Gabbie has another one today. The boys’ school is open though!

What a lovely post, Leslie. And, that photo is so calming and peaceful. We had several inches of snow, too. It is now drifting about, and that’s fine! We have nowhere to go, and our kids are also home because school has been cancelled for Friday, too.

We had a bit of snow this year, but Charlotte is not prepared, so school and businesses shut down with there is 2 inches! I dont mind seeing the fluffy white stuff but the ice can be bad. Hope you got to sleep in! 🙂

From your photo, it doesn’t look as if snow is an everyday occurrence 😆. We don’t get much where I live, either. Welcome to the challenge!
