Hello from humid Houston!
As I sit down to write today’s post, from my daughter Lauren’s living room in Houston, I am reminded of the Beatles’ song “Hello, Goodbye”. The lyrics say something like “I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello.” Today’s post is a kind of hello and goodbye, all at one time. This week marks the end of the second Style Me Bloggers link-up series but the beginning of the third Style Me Bloggers link-up series.

And with this beginning of the end or end of the beginning, we are also featuring a giveaway. Click on the Rafflecopter link below to enter a chance to win a $130 Nordstrom gift card.
Here’s hoping YOU are the lucky winner!
For our last hurrah to this link-up series, the Style Me Bloggers are looking at our top three looks. I originally read this as our three top looks and started thinking which of my three tops are my favorites. Which led me to wonder if I should just post tops only and crop whatever I was wearing on the bottom out of my photographs. Then I reread the prompt and realized I could post all of the pieces of my three favorite looks.
So, I give you, my top three looks. Complete with bottoms. And shoes. And accessories.
This is a little number I first put together all by myself in May 2014. PC calls these pants my clown pants. But I think eventually, they grew on him. I styled them a little differently in the picture on the right for Day 8 of the Style Me Pretty Fall 2014 Challenge. I love a good paisley print and even have a Pinterest board entitled Pretty in Paisley. You can check it out here. Although I tend to prefer earth tones, I think these brighter jewel tones are more complimentary to my coloring.
My clown pants are from Loft. The same pants are available here.
My cardigans are both from Loft Outlet as well as the coral tank in the left picture and the burgundy tee in the right picture. I just happened to have been in the Loft Outlet at the Houston Premium Outlet Mall today (Valerie dropped me off there so I could go home with Lauren) and the outlet has a great cardigan sale going on right now. Several styles and all colors for less than $20 each.
These outfits are very similar and interestingly, the same color palette of the first look. And here I thought I liked earth tones best! The picture on the left is from October 2014 and the same look, kind of refashioned on the right is from November 2014.
Loft curvy, super skinny jeans on the left. Similar here. Cuffed, brown denim jeans from Loft Outlet. Similar here.
Burgundy boyfriend sweater from Loft. Similar here.
Dress Barn long-sleeved cream colored tee on the left and Loft Outlet striped, three-quarter length sleeved tee on right. Similar long sleeved tee here. Similar striped tee here.
Payless menswear Oxfords. Similar here.
My final fav is an outfit I have only worn once, a month ago in March. I loved it the day I put it together but have been scared to try on the pants again because they are a size 6 and I have been on two trips/vacations since I bought them. Translation: I have been eating too much and exercising too little.
The pants are my one and only pair of distressed jeans in a railroad stripe. They are on clearance now at the Loft stores in El Paso but I couldn’t find them today online. Similar available here.
The light-weight sweater is from Limited. It is available on sale here.
Kohl’s floral blouse, similar here. And here.
My nude pumps are from DSW.
When I get home from this little excursion, I have got to get back to my goals…exercising, lifting weights, swimming, tracking Weight Watcher’s points, Fitness Blender and eating better.
And then I will revisit these striped jeans.
Until then, what can I do? I am a guest at Lauren’s house for the weekend. We always have dinner at El Tiempo Mexican restaurant every time I am in town. And we all know it’s probably bad luck to break with tradition.
Please be sure to enter our giveaway below and stop by the blogs of my Style Me Blogger buddies for our last hurrah, this go-round. And come back again on Wednesday when the newest crop of Style Me Bloggers will be linking up for our second week of Style Me Pretty Spring Challenge 2015 outfits.

Definitely can’t break tradition, sweet Leslie! I think I like the railroad pants look the best! I remember eyeing those pants online!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, Mary, you have to get the railroad pants. They are so soft. And not terribly distressed but just kind of fun and trendy. Plus they are on sale…price has been drastically cut. If you can find them, please get them. They will be great for Saturdays and Sundays. XO
Lana
Leslie, you always make me laugh. Great outfits – I LOVE the polka dot sweater. Very pretty! Have a fun weekend in Houston! I was there once years ago and it poured buckets the entire time!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Lana, I really don’t get living in Houston. The humidity is just horrendous. I would never, ever, ever get dressed if I lived there. And it never seems very sunny. Always just gray with a storm rolling out and another one coming in. I bought a tall in the polka dot sweater so it would be plenty long and it is. Might have to buy the other colors, it is on sale, lightweight and cheerful. XO
Katie
Great post as always! Love your looks Leslie!! I want thos patterned pants and polka dot sweater!! And look at you ROCKIN the distressed denim!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan

Shaunacey
I LOVE that polka dot sweater on you! And you rocked those paisley pants!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Hey, baby girl! I think my paislies are about my favorite pants. On the lookout for something similar again this spring. Love your colored pants!! XO

Karen Strand
Girlfriend! I would love to go shopping with you! You scored some great deals and I wish I was in on them! You a such cutie and I love all your looks! Have a lovely weekend my friend!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I think you and Lana and I could have some great fun and do some serious damage to our bank accounts if we could get together for a shopping spree. Wouldn’t that be great? XO
Karen Strand
Oh, and I want some good Mexican food!
Carrie
Leslie, you look so pretty in bright colors and jewel tones but the mint is pretty on you too. I love that polka dot sweater and almost bought it…wish I would have now.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Carrie. You are one of my style icons so I treasure your comments. XO
Carrie @ Curly Crafty Mom
I really need to try one of these challenges sometime, they look so, so fun and such a great community of women! I love those fun pants and would totally wear them myself and that mint shirt with the polka dots is really cute with that statement necklace!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Carrie, wish you would join up for the summer challenge that I am pretty sure will follow this spring challenge. It is so much fun. You already have such a great sense of style but it is so much fun to share the challenge experience with all the great gals! It is a real community of women, like you said. Thank you for the sweet compliments on my outfits.
Ginny
I really like the polka dot outfit, cute!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sugar! So glad you came by! Guess who started her day today with devotional time? MOI! The day went so much better. Thank you for inspiring me.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Ginny. I like that one, too, but have vacationed so much in the last couple of weeks that I am scared to try on the pants again! Trying to get back into my exercise routine. And I have you to think for inspiring me to spend more thoughtful time on my devotional. I have done it first in the morning for two days and both days have gone so much better. So glad to know we are never alone, no matter what life throws at us.
