Happy Tuesday, friends, so glad to begin this shiny new week with a post sharing the 5 reasons why I love Photowall wall art. This was a collaboration straight from heaven! When the good people at Photowall reached out about collaborating with them, I went immediately to their website to learn more about them and their products. Photowall is passionate about helping you transform your home to reflect your personality. I couldn’t say YES to working with them fast enough. And I am so glad I did.
Photowall Wall Art
Photowall offers an array of products for transforming your walls into works of art with their unique wallpaper, wall murals, prints, posters and canvases. My little brain began running away with all of the great possibilities!!
At first I thought I would order wallpaper. For a small wall in the toilet area of our master bathroom. With over 2,500 different motifs, I was sure Photowall would have something perfect to brighten that space. Thought something like “leaves on blue” or “golden day” would add some interest to an otherwise very functional but boring little room. But then I realized I might need PC’s help papering. Thought better of signing him up for a project.
So, I decided I’d try a canvas print. I have one of Cady in a mermaid tail at the beach that Brennyn gave me for Christmas one year. Thought I could have a print made from a photo of Cia in her mermaid tail. It’s so cool because Photowall can transform your image into a canvas print or post. But I couldn’t leave Cami out…and we don’t have a photo of her in a mermaid tail…YET.
Then the poppies began blooming. And as you already know, I was in the poppy fields 3 different days taking ooodles of photos. I decided I would have a canvas print made of one of my gazillion poppy pics. But before it was all over, I changed my mind again!!
Here are some of the reasons why my Photowall experience was so positive.
While I received a custom framed print for review, you can be certain that in the review below I am sharing my honest opinions based on my experiences with this product. The views and opinions expressed in this review are my own.
5 Reasons Why I Love Photowall Wall Art
There are lots of little things that went into making my experience with Photowall such a positive one. Here are the biggies.
So Many Products to Choose From
Photowall has something for everyone, for every space. As I explained above, my original thought was to paper a small wall in our master bathroom. Photowall has beautiful murals and wallpapers. But I didn’t want to commit PC to a job. And have never papered in my life. Nixed that idea for something that wouldn’t be a project for Paul.
Photowall has so many lovely images of their own, but they can also take one of your images and transform it. Into a print or a poster or a canvas. I decided to take one of my poppy pictures and have Photowall make a canvas print from it. For this wall in my den (wish that dumb light switch wasn’t where it is).
And I selected this photo from all the shots I took this spring.
Thought I wanted a canvas print. But when I experimented with having my own print framed, here, my mind was changed again. I was instantly sold on ordering a framed print. Thought it would work best with the existing collage (and light switch) on my wall.
Creating My Art Was Simple
Once I decided on a framed print, the ordering was easy. With these few steps, my order was created.
- Select and upload my photograph
- Choose the size of my framed piece
- Determine the color of frame: black, white or neutral
- Select between matted or unmatted art
- Go to check out
- Submit payment with Visa, Mastercard or PayPal
I was able to see a mock-up of my image, with and without a white mat and in different frame sizes and colors before I selected my final choice. The mock-ups below are for another poppy photo that PC took.
Went with black frame and white mat. Final choice. Lock it in.
Ordering Was a Breeze
As soon as I proceeded to checkout and submitted my order, I received an email receipt and summary of my order. I placed my order on 02.28.2020, Saturday. My framed print arrived on 04.02.2020 which I thought was pretty quick for a custom piece of art. Photowall has the following disclosure on their site right now in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis.
Custom wallpaper and prints, free US shipping. Ships in 1–4 days.
At the moment, we have a longer shipping time of up to 5 working days.
The Photowall home office is in Sweden. I am not sure if the order fulfillment center is in Europe but if so, I think the delivery time was exceptional. Received an email a few days before the print arrived so I would know to be on the lookout for it.
Arrived Promptly and Well Packaged
My framed print arrived promptly and was well packaged in a custom cardboard carton.
A photocopy of my order was taped to the packaging around my print.
The print was wrapped in plastic, and came with a picture hanger and 2 felt tabs to allow it to hang without rubbing against the wall. They thought of everything!!
Picture Perfect Art
We could hardly get the print unwrapped fast enough. It is beautiful. The colors are vibrant. The image is very clear even though for the print it had to be enlarged. I cropped the image before uploading it to the Photowall order and it was exactly as I submitted it.
Originally, I put the framed print on the mantel. With my Easter bunnies and spring craft projects.
I wish I could get a good photo without the light reflecting off the glass.
But today, when PC wasn’t looking, I got the hammer and picture hangers out of the tool box and put the framed print in its permanent spot.
Perfect Spot
I rearranged some of the pieces that were already part of my poppy collage and found the perfect spot for our new Photowall art.
Doesn’t it look fantastic?
I am so happy with the final product. And pleased with my experience with Photowall all the way through. The ordering process was easy, communication was clear, shipping was quick and my framed print makes me smile.
Next project for Photowall…a canvas print of my Cia and Cami in mermaid tails. As soon as swimming season opens.

Well, that turned out beautifully! I am glad you decided on framing your own photo and not doing wallpaper. After the last time I scraped it off a wall I swore I would never paper another wall again! It’s a lot of work. But anyway, your photo wall looks terrific! I have been planning a post on doing a photo wall for over a year if you can believe it – I just may get to it soon!
xo,

Would love to see your photo wall!! Get that post going, girl!
I have never had wallpaper so don’t know all the work involved with changing it out or removing
it all together. When we lived in Panama, we inherited a wall mural that looked like a
scene from an Italian villa on the ocean. It was not at all my style. But we were in substandard
military housing…
Iris
Lovely print – love the colors in it. That is a great idea – but wouldn’t work for me. There’s barely any room on my walls that isn’t covered. Even when my hubby was alive he used to joke that if I had anything else to hang on the walls he’d have to start putting them on the ceiling. AND, I’ve added quite a few since then. The bare wall concept was never popular with me.

Ha! I knew I liked you. My walls are pretty well covered in photos and prints and pictures, too. Sometimes I think I have overdone it. But I appreciate the interest they bring to a room. I had a boss…a library administrator…who through an annual Christmas party in her home. Being an introvert, I only attended once. Was delighted with the way she displayed her art. In her office/library space she even hung art close to the baseboards. It sounds kind of crazy but was so artfully arranged. So even when I think I am almost out of wall space now, I remember her lovely home.

Such a beautiful and vibrant shot, Leslie! When I start decorating our master bedroom (we just got new furniture in there right before this virus hit!) I’ll remember this company as I know I’ll need some new frames. Thanks for sharing!

I just love your poppy prints and the one you chose for the reprint is perfect for your wall! I totally get how many times you changed your mind. I just went on a 10-minute tangent browsing Photowall’s site. Wallpaper! What fun and creative things you could do with wallpaper. But I totally can see your point in not wanting to pull the hubby into the project. I’d have to sneak it into the house and take a day off to do it without him around to help. We don’t do well working on projects like that together. :/ Oh, and the lightswitch? Wallpaper or paint or covering it with fabric will help it blend in so it doesn’t stick out on your photo wall.

What a genius idea to blend in my lightswitch!! Thank you so much. Maybe I could find poppy fabric or even paint some poppies on the light switch plate. PC and I don’t work real well together on projects either. I am a perfectionist. ‘Nuff said!!
