Happy new year, friends!! Me thinks you might have completely written me off or at the very least, thought I have surely fallen off the face of the earth. But nope, I have just been up to my ears in LIFE. Have lots to share with you but will save all of that for an upcoming post. Right this minute I am about to get chili and cornbread on the table for dinner, but real quick just want to let you know I will be continuing to host the 10 on the 10th series.
And good news…I have a sweet blogging buddy helping me with the co-hosting duties. Hope you will help me welcome Marsha from Marsha in the Middle to 10 on the 10th. Marsha and I are new friends but have discovered we have many things in common. I am looking forward to teaming up with her for this series and the Ageless Style link-up we both co-host with 8 of our other blogging friends.
10 on the 10th
If you are new around these parts or to 10 on the 10th, please allow me to provide a little background on this series. I adopted in February 2020 when the gals who were originally hosting it decided to discontinue. And it has been one of my most popular posts each month.
The idea is to share 10 thoughts, memories, reflections on the monthly prompt. Like I did last year, the posts will alternate between asking participants to respond to a set of 10 questions on a theme and listing 10 things on a theme. For example, December’s 10 on the 10th posed 10 questions about the winter holidays. Check it out, here.
However, November’s 10 on the 10th post, here, asked folks to share photos of 10 things they were thankful for. I loved that prompt – if I do say so myself!!
Marsha will be creating 6 months’ worth of prompts, and I will create the other 6 months. We will reveal the prompts on our blogs toward the end of each month for the coming month. So, February’s prompt will be announced on our blogs at the very end of January. And I try to share the prompts on Instagram, too. The posts go live on the 10th day of each month. Simple!!
10 on the 10th 01.2022
So, without taking up much more of your time, here is the prompt for this month. Please share 10 prayers, wishes, hopes, or goals for 2022. Maybe reflect about in what ways you would like 2022 to be different from 2021 and the crazy year that was 2020. And here’s the graphic if you would like to use it in your post.
I am sorry to just be getting it out to you. I will leave the link up open for a week or so beyond the 10th in case you need a little extra time to get your post together. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Your Turn
In addition to 10 on the 10th, I will be continuing to participate in Where Bloggers Live on the 2nd Friday of the month. And joining the Ageless Style gals monthly for a style related post the 3rd Thursday. Want to continue joining Rebecca Jo and Jennifer for Thankful Thursday and One Sentence a Day. Link up with my fashion friends like Carrie, Jill, Laura, Gail, and Nancy when I can. Hope to get back to writing a monthly wellness post, and some book reviews. Then there’s my bucket list posts that I have enjoyed sharing for years. Want to continue to share photos with Terri and Lysha, and the photo scavenger hunt gals.
But this year I want to do more writing from the heart. Like the writing of my friends Leanne and Pat. Creative writing and autobiographical writing. So I am going to have to settle down…HEAR THAT LIFE?? I need some peace and quiet for a few weeks. Months.
Hope you will join me and we discover what 2022 has in store for us.
Thank you for your readership and most of all, your friendship.
Happy New Year hugs and kisses,
Leanne | www.crestingthehill.com.au
Hi Leslie – thanks for the shout out and I’m so happy I’m inspiring you to go back to your original roots for the blog about rediscovering yourself in retirement. I shared my #WOTY today and it’s all about choosing your attitude in these difficult times – it’s a little bit frivolous and fun, but I felt like that was what I need to take with me into the year ahead. Onward and upward my friend and here’s to a fabulous 2022!

Happy New Year Leslie, I hope your family is doing well, especially the new mum and bub!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. We had a very stressful few days but all is well now. I know you can relate to those difficult days at the delivery of a new baby, after the birth of Dottie. But we are both very blessed to be on the other side of that now.
Deb
You have certainly had a busy, stressful and yet exciting December – let’s hope that life calms down a little for you in the new year!

Thank you for the prayers and for holding my family close during our difficult days. Your hellos and hugs on What’s App are always heartwarming.

I’m so happy to be joining you with this! I have found the blog posts that are the easiest to write are the ones where I’m telling a story. I don’t know if they are the ones that are enjoyed the most or not. Some day, I need to figure out that whole google analytics thing…or not!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Ugh…Google analytics. Numbers of any sort. I really don’t do much with all of that either. And SEO. All of that makes blogging more like work.
So glad to have you co-hosting 10 on the 10th with me.
