hApPY HuMp dAY, Fashionistas!
Joining up with my bloggin’ buddies at The Blended Blog for a “Summer Style” series link-up. We are using a fashion menu (our cool graphic) of sorts from which we are selecting three courses (descriptors) to build a complete meal (outfit). I can tie food to anything. Check it out!
With all of these great possibilities, I seem to gravitate toward using lace in a lot of the outfits I am putting together. Kinda like having a whole buffet before you and picking the Caesar salad over and over again. What can I say? I like a good salad. In this case in the form of a 1. white, 2. lace, 3. tunic.
I can’t even take credit for making this salad. I found the recipe on Pinterest. So this little number is Pinspired. You could say I pinned it and did it. Here’s the look that was my Pinspiration.
Love it! Feminine but casual. Perfect for date night. I had very similar pieces in my closet. Made this outfit even more appetizing! I decided to have some fun on Polyvore to stir up my own version of this pinspired look. Polyvore is like paper dolls for grown-ups. So fun.
“Lucy” boot cut blue jeans by Liverpool, lace tunic by Beautiful Halo ($12!). Sandals by Baldinni (out of my price range) and Macy’s belt. The pendant is from Ross-Simons (and also out of my budget).
Now here’s my version, straight out of the inner sanctum that is my closet.
Forever 21 white (ok, off-white) lace tunic and ‘Lucy’ boot cut jeans by Liverpool. Paired with a Target straw bag, Guess sandals, Kendra Scott coral pendant from my BFF Sharon.
So, I haven’t worn this outfit yet. At least not this exact version. But on our trip to Cancun several years ago, I wore the lace tunic with jeans and a pair of peep-toe pumps.
We were celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary. I felt like a blushing bride.
Have some errands to run and grocery shopping to do later this week, and will wear this outfit. Stay tuned the next day or two for a pic on Instagram or Facebook. If you aren’t already following me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, I would love for you to! And while you are at it, please follow me on Pinterest. Let me make that following business easy for you. Instagram, click here. Facebook, here. Twitter, aqui. And my fav, Pinterest, right here.
I gathered an assortment of similar pieces so you can shop and maybe create your own Caesar salad. Have a look. Give it a go.
If you recreate this Pinspired bit of pinspiration, please share! If you mix and match the items from the “menu” graphic above to create an outfit, please share!! And remember to stop by Pinterest or Instagram or Twitter to see this grandma/Mimi all dolled up. Or as dolled as this grandma/Mimi gets these days.
Thank you, fashionistas, for joining me today. Hope your hUmP dAy is the best.
Hugs and kisses,
Deena
Great outfit! I love a creamy lace top with denim!

Thank you. Have been working out my arms a little this summer and not so ashamed to wear sleeveless. This might become a favorite top now.

I have loved all of your ensembles for a long time. You can “dress” me anytime with your fab taste.

Oh, yay, YOU! Thank you for coming by and leaving a comment! You are so sweet. I love playing dress-up and got started
once I retired. Doesn’t make a whole lotta sense, because now I don’t have anywhere to go. Please come back again. XO

Leslie Roberts Clingan
Aww, thank you! I do have a pretty HOT hubby, if I do say so myself. And he is a baby – six years younger. Does that make me a cougar?!
Jennie
I love everything about this look and you look great in it! That top is just amazing and I want one just like it. 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweet Jennie. Funny thing – even though I felt a little clownish in this colorful outfit, I felt like me!
