TGIF, girls!
Actually, my weekend started on Monday ’cause I didn’t go to work this week. So everyday has felt like a Friday. Oh, yeah, baby! Today I am joining Kristen at Taz & Belly for her “Little Letters” link-up.
Took a first stab at little letter writing in September. Found it to be a very therapeutic way to vent…and to express my gratitude. Lest you think I whined and complained in every letter.
Sadly, I could just about copy and paste September’s letters for today’s post. Still dealing with the damage from the AC leak, problems with our pool and an oven that turns itself off on a whim.
Replacement Pair of Codi Booties
Dear Dr. Scholls,
As you must remember from my thank you email in October, I wore my Dr. Scholls taupe Codi booties all over Bavaria during a recent visit to Germany. I had packed a pair of Converse sneakers, a pair of running shoes, some flats and my Dr. Scholls. A day into our trip, my booties became my go-to footwear. Their memory foam insole made wearing them all over Munich, Berchtesgaden, Garmisch, Triberg, Baden-Baden, Ulm and Nuremberg a very pleasant experience. In fact, I wore my booties so much that week, over cobbled streets and graveled paths, that the wore heels down.
But my feet never hurt. Not even the day we walked 23K steps! Thank you for making a bootie that is not only comfortable but stylish, too.
Dear Rack Room Shoes,
On a recent visit to Germany, I wore, almost non-stop, the Dr. Scholls Codi bootie in taupe that I bought from you last fall. Wore them so much as we touristed our way across Bavaria, that the heels wore off…not completely, but unevenly. On our last night in-country, I decided to try to order a replacement pair from Rack Room Shoes online so they would be on their way to me when I got home. Imagine my surprise to find the Codi bootie on sale for $13.99! I couldn’t order them fast enough. Today I broke in my new pair with a full day of shopping. And my feet don’t hurt. Thank you, RRS for a great sale price on my favorite booties.
Nissan Keyless Entry
Dear Nissan,
Yesterday, I made a quick, last-minute grocery run to pick up goodies for my brother and sister-in-law’s visit. I set my purse in the trunk of my green Nissan Altima while I loaded the bags of candy, chips, soda and other assorted snacks into the car. Slammed the trunk lid shut and walked around to get into the driver’s side of the car. Only to discover the door was locked. And then to immediately remember I had just shut my purse and the keys into the trunk with the groceries. Was I ever pleasantly surprised to discover that when I had shut the trunk lid, it hadn’t latched. Why? Because my purse with the keys were in the trunk! Genius. My 2008 green Nissan Altima is smarter than I am. Or at least my keyless entry fob is. And I am so grateful for it.
Wallflowers Plugs
Dear Bath and Body Works,
Thank you for excellent product support. I am a huge fan of your wallflower plugs and use them all over my home. My first plugs were very basic styles but have recently expanded my collection to include a number of your seasonal wallflowers. I get a kick out of changing my wallflowers to match my holiday decor.
Over the years, several of my first plugs have stopped diffusing fragrance. I read online that you would replace them with new wallflower plugs free of charge. But found that almost too good to be true. Last weekend, I bundled up my faulty plugs and took them to my outlet Bath and Body Works. By golly, they allowed me trade in my old plugs for new ones of similar value. Now that is excellent product support. And customer service. I turned in a burned out plug today and received this little cutie in exchange.
Then with my coupon, I was entitled to select any product worth $12.50 or less. Scored another plug for free.
Thank you, Bath and Body Works for standing by your products. That is the business ethnic that our country was built on but seems to have lost sight of along the way.

Hugs and kisses,
Sarah @ Foxy's Domestic Side
I pretty much start Christmas shopping at the Nordies July sale…hehe. Then I try to get things as I see them, so all of the gifts don’t hit the pocketbook at the same time. How the heck did your keys know that they were in the trunk, that is pure magic I tell ya! Okay not really, but still, super cool. Have a great weekend!

Oh and I have a wall plug that is super old, I wonder if that would work. I was just thinking, this is looking really yellow and probably not safe to use any more…I might have to try it!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
If your plug is a Wallflower from Bath and Body Works, take it in. Mine were old and yellowed and they exchanged them. I was tickled pink. Those things aren’t cheap!!! Glad to be able to get a new one for my old one.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
What??? Christmas shopping in July? You are so good.
I don’t know how my car knew I was about to lock my keys in the trunk but so glad it did. A case of the car being smarter than the driver. Scary!
Sheila DelCharco
Entered! I love your little letters and I love those boots!
Sheila DelCharco
I wish I were organized enough to do it before but my people often change their mind so I’ve learned to save it for after!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Yay!! Good luck on the Christmas cash giveaway. I am really hoping our family doesn’t get all nuts and spend a lot of money this year. We want to go on a family vacation for my 60th and need to save our pennies for that. I entered the giveaway myself, but will feel a little – little – bit guilty if I win!

What a fun idea! That’s some awesome customer service from Bath and Body Works. I had no idea they did that. And those shoes sound amazing!!

These little letters are great fun. I didn’t find Kristen’s link-up post (yet) for November. If she doesn’t continue to do the little letters, I think I will start sponsoring this series.
Bath and Body Works deserves a gold star for replacing the burned out wallflowers. A+ customer service in my book!
curlycraftymom
Wow! I did not know you could go to Bath & Body Works and exchange Wallflowers that have stopped working! I’ve had this problem and never had time to research it. Does this still happen with the new ones or was something faulty with the olds ones? Just wondering if they get gunked up (is that a word?) after awhile…
Your car is so smart, esp for a 2008! I have a 2007 CRV and I feel it is SO not tech savvy.
Glad those booties were comfy. I seriously don’t find Converse comfortable at all, I would never wear them (no matter how cute they are) to a European vacation where lots of walking is required.

My 2008 Altima is gifted and talented!! Smarter than its operator! For sure. Ha!
You have to turn your Wallflowers in! I took plugins I had had for several years. I don’t know what happens to them that they stop working. Thinking maybe I leave them plugged in too long once the oil has all disappeared. And then they burn out. Or could be the gunk, like you suggested. Gunk is definitely as word in my vocabulary! But load up your old ones and try it.
I don’t think Converse are very comfy either. Too flat. I have very definite arches in my feet (ballet?) and Converse are like walking on planks or cinder blocks for me. But cuter. I was shocked that my booties were my go-to shoes for walking around Germany but they beat out everything else I packed. Yay for Dr. Scholls.

I entered you wonderful giveaway! Loved your letters 🙂

Thank you for coming by and thank you for entering. Good luck, sugar!

I usually buy a couple things before but mostly it is done after Thanksgiving.

I finally got my peeps to agree on a spending limit this year. Except for gifts for the kids. Who also do not need a thing but are kids! We have only been out on Black Friday once. I loved the hype of the whole thing but didn’t buy much. Have a great T’day and good luck on your shopping!
