Sweet readers,
It’s time for “Little Letters, 03.2018”. Today’s notes are more gratitude than grumble! Have found that using these letters to vent is very therapeutic. And they can be equally wonderful for a quiet celebration. Glad you are here to join me.

Dear Rev.com,
Thank you for the opportunity to do transcription work in order to make a little extra airfare money, Lucia birthday present money, Cady Easter present money. I do wish, however, you would screen the audio recordings before making them available for transcribing. The other day, I spent 4 hours transcribing 25 minutes of a 55 minute recording. The women on the recording sneezed and coughed into the microphone. Someone tapped on the table the entire conversation. And all five women tried to talk at the same time for most of the 25 minutes I tried to decipher. Wound up ‘unclaiming’ the project and being penalized for doing so. Sure would like to see who could successfully transcribe that gobbledygook.
Yours truly,
Tired Transcriber

Dear UserTesting.com,
Thank you for the opportunity to earn extra money while evaluating mobile apps and website prototypes in order to make a little gas money for a trip to Albuquerque, money to register for the Texas Library Association annual conference, to help pay for shelving in our garage. However, the last two times I have accepted an assignment, my computer has crashed when I submitted my evaluation. Which means I didn’t get paid until I brought the issue to your attention twice, you investigated and then reinstated my payment. Maybe we should be evaluating YOUR website?
Respectfully,
Exasperated Evaluator

Dear Planet Fitness,
About a year ago, my PC and I upgraded our membership to “Black Card” status in order to use the hydro-massage beds. More times than not, when we want to wind down from our workout with a massage, the water beds are broken. This happens so often, that I think you should be reimbursing us for the additional $10 x 2 we are paying for our “Black Cards”.
Sincerely,
Bummed “Black Card’ Member

Dear Lorena and Eva,
Thank you so much for always taking great care of Purrsimmony and Purrsnickitty when we are away from home. My heart hurts every time we leave our baby girls behind. But I feel better knowing you are going to be checking on them, fixing them boiled chicken, softying them while we are gone. Thank you for making it easier to visit my mom and my daughters without worrying about my kitties at home.
With love,
Leslie
Dear Simmy and Snicky,
Thank you for being my buddies everyday while Daddy is at work. Some days, I go for hours without speaking to anyone other than the two of you. Simmy, thank you for snuggling with me every morning during our devotional time. Snicky, thank you for cuddling with PC every evening during the nightly news. I wish there was some way we could explain to you why we leave and that we will always come home to you.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Sue at Sizzling Toward Sixty and Beyond,
Thank you for reaching out to me with your friendship after a comment I left on your blog. I know we have teased that because we share the surname Roberts, we must be related. But whether we share DNA or not, you have become a dear friend. Thank you for your support and kind words. You are a treasure.
Big hugs,
Your Cuz
Dearest Readers,
Thank you for being here. For spending a few moments of your day to stop by my blog. Thank you! I will be traveling to visit my sweet mama in Kentucky for a week but still have some fun blog posts planned. Hope you will continue to visit.
Family hugs,
Leslie
And that’s it for this month. April’s “Little Letters” post will fall on Friday the 13th. Yikes! Might have lots to write about that day. Hey, and why don’t you plan to play along with us.
Your Turn
Who would you address in your “Little Letters, 03.2018”? Do you have praise to share? Is there something you would like to grumble about? These “Little Letters” are a fabulous platform for both. Feel free to write as many as you like in the comments below!!
Wishing you a restive and restorative weekend.
Hugs and kisses,
Laura
I always love reading these posts from you! I would be actually submitting that one to Planet Fitness if I were you! If they have so many issues they should be at least partially reimbursing you! How frustrating! It does make me wish my gym had a hydromassage though. It sounds amazing (when it works anyway).

Sorry to hear about the rough time you’re having with the transcribing and evaluating job sites. That’s awful. And yeah, that upgrade for Planet Fitness doesn’t sound worth it if the beds are almost always broken.
Have fun in Kentucky! Hopefully our weather will behave for you. 🙂

Did you get some of that incredible snow we saw in Lexington? Oh, it was gorgeous!!! Spent one whole day taking pictures. But now I am ready to move into spring. Didn’t think I would get to see a snow and I did!
Tried my luck at another transcription this week and things went much better. Only two people talking and not at the same time! Bonus…no sneezing!
