Hey Sweet Readers!
If you have been hanging around here with me for sometime, you know that I have been doing a recap of the prior month’s numbers on the first Monday of the next month. That’s what brings us together today. A look at September in numbers. I borrowed this numbers post idea from my blogging buddy Deena at Shoes to Shiraz but have been doing it a little differently than she does.
In my first numbers posts, I concentrated on how many page views I had, how many first time visits, etc. The first of September, I was really sad when I realized that August’s numbers for the blog were down a whole bunch. I pouted about it in my first Monday of September blog post here. Then my sweet friends started commenting that August is a slow month on their blogs historically. Apparently, all the last minute vacationing before school starts leaves little time for blog reading. But this was my first August blogging so I didn’t know that.
And my friends were right. My numbers for September are better again. But to avoid this pitiful blubbering in the future, I am going to switch the focus of this rewind post from blog numbers to overall life numbers. That’s more in line with what Deena posts about.
Smart girl, that one.

I am just going to share a few numbers about my blog today.
Here we go.
- 2,306 page views
- 1,732 unique visits
- 1,385 first time visits
- 347 returning visits
I am just relieved that these numbers are up again and that I am not talking to myself over here.
Thank you, sweet readers.
As you may remember, I have been setting monthly goals since the first time I did Alison Lumbatis’s Rediscover Me Challenge in February. Alison did a repeat of this fabulous challenge during the month of September. I registered for the challenge but failed to set any goals beyond the first week. I will get back on track doing that this month. Have missed focusing on my goals, exercising and eating well. October is going to be a better month.
Here are some numbers for some of the things I did do this past month.
15 is the number of blog posts I wrote in September for my blog. I am averaging about a post every other day. Or had been. Now that I am subbing again, it has been harder to find time to post. I miss it!
1 post for The Blended Blog, read it here.
9 days of work during the month as a substitute teacher or librarian. Here are a few pictures from bathrooms around the district.
5 days of volunteering between the El Paso Holocaust Museum and Assistance League of El Paso. Moved about a half-million books (rounding up) at the Holocaust library. Helped approximately ten children gather new school uniforms, shoes, tee shirts, socks and underwear.
Only 10.5 miles run during the month – because I had one hip that was really hurting a whole lot of the month. It’s better now so I will get back to the running this month. Here is a picture of one of the few days I did run.
1 massage at Massage Envy Spa and 1 mani/pedi at Wynn’s Salon. PC had his first pedicure, too! No polish, though.
1 Stampin’ Up craft night with my friend Martha and new friend Susan. We made a Halloween card which I sent to Cady and a chocolate candy bar cover.
1 gender reveal for my daughter Lauren and son-in-law Francisco’s baby. They had an OB appointment on September 28 and thought would find out the gender of their baby then but the doctor didn’t conduct an ultrasound.
Lauren had completed a DNA test through Sneak Peek Early Gender Testing and had the results of that test but hadn’t looked at them before their appointment with the doctor. Instead she forwarded the results to Brennyn and me and we revealed the gender of my second grandbaby to HER parents. Fun! This is the email Lauren forwarded to me with the results from Sneak Peek.
1 unexpected thank you note from the principal at Guerrero Elementary. I will be subbing long-term in the library there, tag-teaming it with my friend Lori.
1 lovely bouquet of roses and a sweet card from my PC. Such a thoughtful surprise.
Just for the record, a couple additional blog-related numbers…

Well, friends, the numbers on the clock in my den say that I need to wind up things for today. I have laundry to fold, chili to put together for my crock pot tomorrow, nail polish to remove and redo. Participating in a 5 day clean eating crock pot event hosted by my blogging buddy Casey at A Little Bit of Cheer. We start tomorrow with her chili recipe. Yum. Our temps are finally fall-like with a cool, drizzly rain falling on the desert, too. Chili will hit the spot for dinner tomorrow night.

Thanks fro linking up, and hahaa, I like to “think” that I’m smart too, but mostly I’m just crazy. Looks like you had a fantastic month!

Aren’t girls just the bestest, although your little man is pretty special, too. You can jump in with your numbers post anytime! Just make it something fun and simple. Look forward to reading it.

So glad your numbers are back up, so are mine! August is just not a good month for blog numbers (IMHO!). Wow, you had a busy month. I love these posts each month. I am sure I would be blown away if I took track of what I all do every month as I am a total busy body. Haha.

I know you are the epitome of busy!! I don’t know how you get it all in. I think the lure of the Internet keeps me from accomplishing as much as I would otherwise. How do you balance your time??? TIPS, please!!
Jennie
Aww, I loved this post! Those were lots of good life numbers – so many amazing things to have occur in one month. Glad to hear your blog numbers are climbing back up and you are enjoying subbing, too!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Jennie. I need to not concentrate on numbers, I think, for my blog but on posting good stuff. Stuff that is real to me. And then just hope I find an audience! Can’t thank you enough for featuring me on your blog, sweet friend. What an honor!
Katie
Wow you are busy!!! That’s great! I hope your hip is feeling better!! Did you enjoy the chili?? It was yummy!!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I did enjoy the chili and best of all, PC did, too. I truly eat anything and everything. But I am always looking for recipes that my prince really likes. I try new things every month. Love using my crockpot, too. Wasn’t it nice to have dinner all ready when you got home from school? Did you find a good wine to pair with the chili? If so, let me know which one! XO
Lana
You are a busy lady! I love that you’re subbing and volunteering. You’re my inspiration!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, my stars! Thank you, Lana. Now that I am subbing more, I am not going to have as much time for volunteering but hope to be at the museum or AL on alternating weeks. I need to get my booty in the gym more this month, too. XO

Yeah, August is always a slower month so don’t worry 🙂 Congrats on the little granddaughter

SOOOOO happy to have you along on the crockpot challenge!!! And a baby girl! YAY! You have A LOT going on girl! Don’t worry so much about numbers….just do what you love. Sometimes the numbers can take the fun out of it! 🙂 XOXOXO
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, sweets! I am loving the crockpot challenge. And so is PC. I am a day behind but yesterday was a crazy day, too crazy to even get things together for a crockpot meal. Will try the pasta dish tomorrow. You are so right about the numbers business. I just need to blog and enjoy it and not worry about the rest. XO

yay for numbers posts. I love all of your subbing bathroom pictures, keep them coming! Congrats on the baby girl, so much fun!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I am super excited about my newest baby girl-to-be. The bathroom pictures are going to be from the same bathroom…I have been hired part-time at one elementary school! But they have several faculty bathrooms so I can change things up that way!
