Ahoy, mateys,
Throw down your anchor and stay here awhile with me today for the second-to-last TBB “Style Perspectives” link-up this spring.
I don’t know about you, but I am going to miss this little series. It has simplified getting dressed for work one day each week for several months and now I am going to have to figure out what to wear everyday all by my lonesome. Or maybe I will just recycle through all of these great looks a time or two.
Before we get to my interpretation of today’s look, here’s the recap for last week’s graduation look. I look forward to wearing this to church in the very near future, or maybe I will dress up and Skype with my graduating nephew in Kentucky.
Nicole, The Blended Blog contributor who also blogs at Nick & Nicole Plus 4, created today’s navy and nautical stripe prompt. Be sure to run by to see how she styled her prompt and then run by the blogs of all the other great TBB-ers to check out their interpretations.
Going to be perfectly honest here, fashionistas…I forgot my laptop at school today and I am typing this post on PC’s spare laptop. It’s crazy that even though the keys are in the same place on every laptop, this keyboard seems to be scooted just a little to the left and I am having to watch every single letter I type to keep from giving you this omdyrsf pg yjod/ = instead of this. So THIS is going to be short! Here is my navy and nautical stripe look.
I haven’t worn this look yet but will be wearing it tomorrow, so you need to run back by tomorrow to see me taking it out for a spin. My white denim straight leg jeans are from Loft, split-pea soup green cardi and striped tee are from Loft Outlet and Charming Charlie nautical necklace (took four tries to type that word!). “Jack Russell” Converse tennies, first cousins to the better known “Chuck Taylor” tennies, are from Rack Room.
I might have mentioned here a time or two that green is the best color in the world. Even this sea-sick, baby-poop green tickles my fancy. Snf – I mean – And, I like it paired with the cobalt blue stripes. Thought my tennies looked a little like deck shoes to finish the look.
Nothing says nautical like faux pearls adorning a gilded starfish. But by golly, those are real seashells!
There you have it. Putting together this navy and nautical stripe outfit and taking these pictures was easy compared to the struggle I have had typing this post. So, I am going to call it a post and sail away to dreamland. If you have a navy and nautical look to share, please link-up with us below or post your look on Facebook or Instagram using #theblendedblogstyle hashtag on your post.

Thank you! I really like the outfit, too. Now to find some water to sit by!!
Carrie
I love that you chose to add yellow to your look. So pretty, Leslie!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you! This yellow is the funkiest yellow you’ve seen but I love it. My BFF just told me she calls it citrine or citron. Sounds a whole bunch better than baby poop green.
Jennie
Adorable look all around and I love that you completed it with those cute sneakers! Such a fun statement necklace, too.
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you. I am wearing the heck out of some Converse these days.

I love you for saying that I make you laugh. Never ever think of myself as funny. I think just maybe my fingers have a sense of humor all their own when I type.

Leslie I love you so much! Your posts always make me smile. That outfit you put together is awesome and your flat lays, perfection!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
I love you so much right back. I loved reading how all the girls who met you Vegas said the same thing about you…sweet, sweet and sweet. I knew it! And that smile. I remember loving your smile WAAAAAAAY back in the first days of GYPO. Thank you, baby girl.
Lana
What a cute outfit, and that necklace is amazing. I need to take flat lay lessons from you – yours always look so good. Can’t wait to see this outfit on you, pretty lady!
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Oh, thank you, Lana!!! I like doing the flat lays because I struggle so to take a good pic of me in the outfit. And if I am bloated and exceptionally wrinkly, flat lay to the rescue. I just lay it all out on a foam core board from HobLob and try to keep the kitties at bay while I stand on a step ladder to take the pic. Easy!!

Great look! The cobalt blue striped tee looks great with the white jeans, and I love the pea soup colored cardigan with it! Have fun wearing the outfit tomorrow!
