Welcome back, girlsies!
Joining Anne in Residence and her co-host Lowanda of Sunshine and Elephants to share what we’re currently celebrating, photographing, preparing, watching and welcoming. I don’t have a lot of photos to document these activities, even though one of the activities itself was photographing! Go figure. Most of the time I would have photo overload.
Celebrating
The ninth anniversary of our marriage and home blessing. To say we are celebrating right now would be a bit premature. The anniversary isn’t until the 28th. And we won’t even be together that day as PC will be overseas working. But I will join him two days later for a week. And then…let the games begin.
Here we are, just babies, nine years ago.
Photographing
Our Labor Day weekend. It was such a nice one. Little labor involved. Just an opportunity to recuperate from the toil of the preceding work week.
My mouth is open in horror when I see how I look as I snap the photo at the Harvest Wine Fest. My hair looked better on our hike than it did when I got dressed up for our date!
Preparing
For our trip to Germany. I arrive at 9:00 a.m. and our first stop is Dachau prison camp. Planning to visit Munich, Berchtesgaden, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Zurich, Alsace, Schönberg, Baden-Baden, Ulm and back to Munich. But we’ve begun thinking maybe it would be better to trim the list of places we try to see and really enjoy the places we do visit. Stay tuned. Our itinerary is still fluid!
Watching
“Bachelor in Paradise”, “Game of Thrones”, and my Weight Watcher’s points. PC and I have stepped up our exercise regimen. He in preparation for the Men’s Senior Baseball League World Series games in October. I am just perpetually trying to get in better shape and lose about 5 pounds. We have both been eating better, I’ve been cooking healthier and I have been tracking my points.
Welcoming
Fall. Well, not quite yet. But looking forward to digging out my autumn decorations in the next week or so. And tonight my Prince and I are going to Oktoberfest on Ft. Bliss.

In fact, I need to jump in the shower and get ready. PC is dusting off his lederhosen and I will be squeezing into my Dirndl dress. Just kidding! But wouldn’t that be a sight?
Your Turn
Was talking with some friends today about when we generally break out the fall decorations. Last year, I was raring to go on September 1. This year, I am dragging. Working is whooping my booty! When do you begin feeling like fall has arrived?
Now that I am working again, my blogging is kind of all over the place (like it isn’t even when I’m not working…who am I trying to fool?). But I have several posts coming up in the next few days. Hope you will stop back by for a visit.
Hugs and kisses,
Danielle
That trip to Germany sounds so cool. I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Fall is in full force hear. Temperature plummets at night, the leaves are turning and falling off the trees already. They say we will have a warm fall. Here’s hoping the snow doesn’t fall until December. I could use a mild winter. Although we could use all the moisture we can get. The province is in a fire ban its so dry here.
I feel the need to decorate for fall too. But only because my Xmas tree goes up way too early 😬

I love that you put the Christmas tree super early. I have to beg, bargain and plead with PC to let me put ours up. He really turns into a Scrooge at Christmas.
Whitney @ Whitney à la mode
I am so so excited to hear about your trip to Germany (and to live vicariously through you)! I love Alsace so I hope it stays on your list of places to see 🙂
Leslie Roberts Clingan
Thank you, Whitney, for stopping by. Alsace escaped the chopping block so we will be going! My mom was excited when I told her today because she swears my maternal great grandmother was from Alsace, even though our DNA says we are like 95% British. Looking forward to our trip. Not sure what to pack…suggestions?
Anne
Happy almost anniversary! And this Germany trip sounds action-packed, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy seeing a lot 🙂

Thank you! I am sure we will flying around Germany by the seat of our pants. But it will be exciting and fun.
